Stay comfortably in San Diego at this 1-bedroom guesthouse on a quarter acre lot centrally located in a quiet community filled with beautiful homes. 5-8 minute drive to restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, community library, and San Diego State University. 15-20 minute drive will get you to beaches, downtown, military bases, zoo, Balboa Park and more.
Our 800sq’ cottage features a cozy living room with comfortable sofa and twin daybed, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedroom offers a king bed and an additional twin bed with top quality linens and mattresses to ensure a good night's sleep for all guests. You'll find all the essentials like WiFi, a hair dryer, and an iron, as well as modern amenities like air conditioning, heating, and washing and drying machines. Books, games, piano and guitar for fun down time.
The property comes with fantastic outdoor space- salt water/solar heated pool & hot tub, patio and grill, fire pit table, pool loungers and sectional seating, gardens with numerous fruit trees and free range pet bunnies. Relax w/SMORS and drinks in the evening around the fire pit table : ) Street parking is always available.

Hi, I’m a California native retired from the Navy and my husband is from France. We have been hosting in the guest house on our primary residence the last eight years and have met some wonderful people from all over the world. We enjoy traveling, dining, socializing, and I am a gardening enthusiast.
Why they chose this property
Our neighborhood of Talmadge is a wonderful community of beautiful homes, lovely gardens, lots of dog walkers and strolling families. We have neighborhood events- a summer block party, Christmas Caroling, Fourth of July parade, summertime gourmet food truck nights and more that bring our community together. People are friendly!
What makes this property unique
What makes our guest house unique is the outdoor space for lounging, which is more than double the very comfortable space provided in the guesthouse. The outdoors are beautiful in San Diego and when you’re done exploring our fine city, you can relax in a peaceful garden environment, grill a meal, soak in the hot tub and finish the evening with some roasted marshmallows. Or, Uber down the road and enjoy the local eateries and pubs. What you also get is an easy-going nearby host who is both attentive to your needs as a traveler and renter as well your next door neighbor, happy to assist you.
