About this property

Coyote Bluff Majestic Mountain Views

Pet Friendly with Hot Tub and Fire Pit!

Coyote Bluff rests on a secluded lot and has some of our best views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Off of the deck you can relax in the hot tub and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by original artwork and a wall of windows that frames the natural beauty outside. A large stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace creates the perfect setting when the temperature drop. Coyote Bluff also features a comfortable seating area, a flat-screen TV with Live Hulu service, high-speed Wi-Fi and a land-line with free long distance calling.

The master bedroom is located on the main floor with a king-size bed and a private entrance opening onto comfortable porch seating area, just steps away from the outdoor hot tub. And when you want to stay in, you can prepare your favorite meal in the fully-equipped kitchen or use the outdoor gas grill located near the cabin’s front door.

In the loft, you’ll find Coyote Bluff to be an architectural gem. The cabin features an interior cat walk with binoculars for mountain viewing. Also upstairs, you’ll find a queen-size bed and a quaint sitting area, furnished with a full-size futon, nestled into a wall of windows for a breathtaking view. All in all, Coyote Bluff offers comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to five people.

Due to our location, the road leading to this property is steep, gravel covered and can be affected by weather. Four Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive is not necessary; however it will provide better traction and may provide peace of mind.

The property is so high up in the mountains that the drive to it is steep and dangerous. Our plan was to check into the cabin and then go back out to get some groceries, but we were so shaken up when we arrived that we decided to leave for fear that we would lose courage to make it back to the road safely. The most difficult part was after entering the gate. Parts of the ~ 1 mile long extremely narrow gravel drive were so steep that we lost traction several times and we were afraid of slipping off. No guardrails, no hint of a shoulder. We did enter the property and looked around. There were dead bugs inside the cabin and a live hornet at one of the windows. A fallen hornets' nest with agitated hornets prevented us from walking on the outside porch. The inside was musty and smelled like old laundry. There was a couch cover with a burnt hole in it. The actual view from the cabin was not what was pictured in the photos. The fire pit was overgrown. We were so dissatisfied with the property that we turned around and left, willing to forfeit payment altogether. Thankfully, the property manager offered us another property to apply the money to, but we are having problems trying to find one that does not include a treacherous mountain drive.

Nice and private-pretty secluded
There is a nice creek/waterfall right next to the property that you can hear when out on the deck. Hot tub was nice. Very private and a great view. Steps getting up to cabin are a little tough and steep so be careful, some are crossties in the front with no railing. We came across a few things that needed repaired and mentioned to the rental company, I suspect it hadnt been rented for a while.
