EVER IMAGINE LIVING IN BARBADOS!:) Barbados is now offering a one year work visa! Work remotely from the comfort of your balcony while taking in the sun.
Special monthly rate is avail.

I offer short-term (7 days) rentals and well as long-term rentals for those who want to be close enough to the action when it suits them, but far enough away to get some peace and quiet when they want to relax. The unit is fully equipped. There is air conditioning in each of the bedrooms and cable TV in the living room. WIFI is also included.

The condo is a 5 min walk to Maxwell beach. There is a store located a stones throw away, in case you run out of necessities, including wine, beer and rum! And you might spot a monkey or two in the trees or along the walls on our street, so have your camera ready!!!

Happy in Barbados

First time in Barbados and we wouldn't hesitate to return to Dave's condo. Listing was accurate. It was in convenient location with a short walk to a beach as well as transportation. Just a couple of things to recommend: blinds in kitchen to help keep out the afternoon sun and heat. Also if balcony door could have a screen to prevent mosquitos from getting in.

Home from home in paradise

Everything you need for fabulous holiday in Barbados close to beaches, 15 min leisurely walk from Oistins fish fry and easy to get local reggae bus which are super convenient, cheap and fun to anywhere or taxi which are across the road Dave the condo owner really has thought of everything for a great stay you just pack your clothes and dont worry about anything else. Fab safe location so convenient for everything thank you for helping make our holiday amazing

Everything you need for a complete vacation. Can do what you want without a car! The friuts and veggies delivery twice a week! The pool after a beach day is much appreciated! Sunset from the kitchen window,while putting ice in your drink! wow

Tappin’

Had everything we needed - well stocked with cutlery, pots/pans, coffee machine and even an Air Fryer! We started our mornings with breakfast on the balcony. Accessible to Bridgetown/The Gap by Taxi. Oisten’s is about a 20 minute walk. Grocery store (Massy) also about a 20 minute walk, with a CIBC bank in the same plaza, which we found helpful.

Amazing!

This was our first trip to Barbados and we had a great stay at the property. Fantastic location with a nice beach within walking distance. We loved the pool!

Great Place

Our checkin was great. Patrick was waiting for us when we arrived. Dave was great for getting back to us for all our questions before our trip. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed. We LOVED the larger ice cube trays for keeping our beverages cold down by the pool. It is a bit of a walk to Oistins if you have to carry a lot of groceries back but there is public transportation along the main road and taxi service right next door at the entrance to the beach. We used back packs for most of our grocery shopping. The pool was clean and refreshing. The hot tub was not hot but it was refreshing with the bubblers on. We would certainly consider another stay here. The weather of course is always great in Barbados and the people VERY FRIENDLY!

Lovely vacation place close to beaches

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Maxwell area condo. Dave was easy to communicate with and Patrick was also available and met us on our arrival to show us everything and available to answer any questions, he also met us on our departure. A/C avail in the bedrooms and cooled the room off quickly for sleep. We loved the breezes we were able to get throughout the rest of the condo. We were within a short walking distance to Maxwell beach and other beaches as well. The condo is as described, clean and secure. Having our own washer and dryer in the unit was a time saver. (we did not use the dryer, as there were plenty of drying racks available) Pool chairs were comfortable, but we spent our days mostly at the different beaches. We explored the island using their transportation system. Close walk as well to the bus stop. Condo was equipped very well with all the amenities! If you chose to cook, you were well supplied. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place

We arrived and were greeted. The place was so clean and perfect for us. The location was excellent as we were equidistant from the Lawrence Gap and Oistins Fish Market, just 30 minute walk both ways. The beach was 3 minutes away and it was great. The condo had everything we needed to cook and enjoy. We will surely be back. Great spot for a couple. Cheers, Paul and Christine

Excellent Holiday Home

This apartment was perfect for the three months we stayed there. The location is great for several beaches, public transport, Oistins and the supermarkets we used. Bridgetown is a short bus ride away and the so is the airport. Dave and Patrick, owner and property manager could not have been more accommodating.

Great stay at Tappins

We enjoyed our 14 day stay at Dave’s condo. Everything we needed. Great location. Easy walk to Oistins , Dover Beach and ZR’s. Nice to relax on balcony with view of water after a day spent exploring the island. Looking forward to a return trip soon.

We really enjoyed your place. Clean, house with comfy beds. We loved how close your are to the beach, town and grocery store. The pool is perfect. We would come stay again when we visit Barbados again. Thanks for an excellent stay for our first trip there. Everything was just wonderful! Happy hour was a nice treat too. Perfect location

Elegant restaurants a three minute walk. Centrally located .9 mi to Oistins fish market.9 mi to St Lawrence Gap with many food options close by. Two beaches less than 5 minute walk. Taxi stand next door if you prefer to ride.

Great location in Christ Church

We really enjoyed staying at Tappin’s Island Condo and it is great location for a family with kids. The condo is close to beaches that were 5 to 20 minutes away. It was also a great location if you wanted to be in a quiet area but close to the St. Lawrence gap area. It is a few minutes away from the Massy stores supermarket, Lanterns mall, Oistins fish fry and other friendly restaurants and bars. It was also convenient to walk to the bus stop to go to places on Highway 7. Dave has a binder for the guest with a lot to useful information about places to go to around the area. Also, Patrick who maintained the building and welcomed the guest was very helpful when asked about the condo and places to go that were accommodating for kids. I will consider staying at this place again if I decide to stay in Christ Church.

1st time in Barbados-April 2-12,2018. Loved it!

Tappins Island was quiet and comfortable. The condo had everything we needed and was close to several imenities. The AC in the bedrooms was great. AC in the main living area would be great but I understand electricity is expensive in Barbados. The balcony offered a nice breeze to sit and enjoy. Pool area also offered shade to enjoy. The convenience store 2 minutes away was just that-convenient. A beautiful beach across the street-too bad about the fence that made access a bit difficult but do-able. Because we arrived on a holiday Patrick had staple supplies(milk,eggs,bread,etc.)already there for us. Brian was also a good source for local info(restaurants and tours). We did several of his recommendations and were not disappointed by any of them. Transportation was easy. Lots of shuttles, buses and taxis. Good food places were Happy Days Café, Surfers Café, Oistins Fish Fry to name a few. Also Dave has a binder of local information on the table that we found very helpful and referred to several times during our stay as well as a cell phone for use while there which was great for calling cabs or arranging tours.

Great Location!

Dave's condo had everything you need for a great vacation. The location is awesome and within walking distance to The St. Lawrence Gap and Oisten's Fish Fry. A short walk to transportation will get you anywhere. We loved Lobster Live at Carlisle Bay. Beautiful beach with plenty of activities. People are very friendly and always say hello and wish you a great day. Dave's host Patrick was very helpful. We will be back, no doubt. Thanks Dave.

Tappins condo is a well situated condo in a complex on the southern coast - Maxwell Beach Area in Christ Church. It is between Oistens & St Lawrence Gap with restaurants and bars within walking distance. We loved the condo as it had everything we could possibly need for the stay. Just bring your clothes & toiletries. Dave the owner was available before and during our stay by email and answered very quickly each time. His agent Patrick met us there when we arrived and showed us everything and was available by text anytime we needed him and fortunately we only needed to text twice during our 18 day stay. Wonderful

Everything about the stay was enjoyable for my friends and I. The place is so inviting makes you feel like you are at home there was nothing that we wanted. Gunstig gelegen , inventaris compleet, smaakvolle inrichting

Ligging is centraal. Klein strandje tegenover het appartement. Binnen 15 minuten loopafstand is Turkebeach en Doverbeach gied bereikbaar. Met de bus voor 2 Bbd naar Brownsbeach -Carlisebay is ook een aanrader, snorkelen, scheepswrakken en schildpadden. De grote supermarkt bij Oistins is op 15 minuten loopafstand en een kleine, duurdere, supermarkt is om de hoek. 's Avonds naar Oistins of doverbeach om lekker te eten is leuk in te doen. Het ontvangst door Patrick was zeer hartelijk, goede uitleg en hij was zeer behulpzaam om onze vragen te beantwoorden. Roselin heeft halverwege onze vakantie nog de appartement schoongemaakt en de bedden verschoond. Het appartement is modern en met smaak ingericht, van alle gemakken voorzien, je kunt het zo gek niet bedenken of het is er wel. Terecht dat de eigenaar verzorkt om zorgvuldig met alles in te gaan alsof het he eigen woning is. Goede bedden, wasmachine en droger aanwezig, alsmede handdoeken en badlakens. Een ruim appartement op een geweldig eiland waar we heel graag nog een keer onze vakantie zouden willen vieren. David, bedankt dat we van jouw mooie appartement hebben kunnen huren en we terug kunnen kijken op een geweldige vakantie. Groeten uit Nederland van Frank, Karin en Siebe

A spacious, well appointed apartment in a quiet location with easy access to beaches and buses.

A lovely comfortable homely apartment with a well equipped kitchen, a balcony, beach chairs and towels. About 20 minutes from the airport and Dave arranged transport for us. In a quiet location but close to bus stops and in walking distance of Oistins and St Lawrence Gap. A good pub and Chinese restaurant only 5 minutes walk away and small supermarket 3 minutes walk. There is a small beach opposite and another beach which can be accessed through the hotel over the road. There is also a nice pool and jacuzzi. There are plenty of beautiful beaches nearby including ones with turtles. Not far on the bus to Bridgetown. A lovely apartment in a good area and I would definitely go back.

Great trip, great condo!

Within a 25 minute walk to Oistins, St. Lawerence Gap & Miami Beach. The sea breeze was incredible, condo fully stocked with everything you might need. Pool was chilly but the kids enjoyed it. Beach was fantastic. Bring bug spray & sunscreen!! Enjoyed the 2 weeks we spent at the condo & didn't want to come home!!

Comfortable and Convenient

Great place to spend some time at in Barbados, well equipped and comfortable, great location with small beach across the road and access to the beach club.Short walk to taxis and/or buses. Patrick, the local contact is amazing and very helpful. The owner Dave was very accommodating and great to deal with, we did have to change some dates during booking and he worked it all out to meet our needs. would definitely recommend this place for either a couple, family of 4 or two couples to enjoy while in Barbados.

My name is Dave. I fell in love with the beautiful island of Barbados when I first visited with my father many years ago. My father was born and raised in Barbados but eventually made his way to Canada. I realized that this island if a part of me, a very big part of who I am. After years of visiting I decided to invest in the island and bought this condo. I named it Tappin's Island Condo as an homage to my family name and heritage.

Why they chose this property

The only way for people to learn about this beautiful island is to come and visit and live as a local. You get to experience the heartwarming atmosphere, the beauty of the island, and the lovely people of the island. You are close to restaurants, various beaches, and lets not forget, the famous Oistins Fish Fry. If you like to surf, and paddle board, we have that too.
