Fall Getaway

We had a family gathering at the Tranquil Country Escape. The kids loved fishing in the pond. Please note the dock in pictures is closed. You'll need to fish from the bank. The beds were nice new memory foam type. The home was really clean. There were plenty of paper towels, trash bags and other home essentials. Lake Tonkawa State Park was about 40 mins away. Close enough for a day trip to go hiking, kayaking and swimming. We would stay here again.

The outdoor trash bins, all 3 of them, were completely full and smelled. When I asked the host about it, they wanted us to pull all of them out to the road. The house sits approximately 300 feet from the road. Secondly, there are dead trees around the over hang for the parking. This is an extreme hazard and the lawn had not been cleaned of fallen limbs. The furniture in the home is extremely uncomfortable. We did enjoy the neighborhood Peacock, though. He was a treat to watch.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the neighborhood and its unique wildlife. Regarding the trash bins, we provide standard waste collection instructions to ensure proper disposal during each stay. We take property maintenance and safety concerns seriously, and your comments have been forwarded to our team for review. While furniture comfort is subjective, we strive to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests. We appreciate your stay and remain committed to maintaining a safe and enjoyable property for future guests.
