Purple Moon Seabreeze Cottage is a beautiful historic Victorian bungalow located three blocks from downtown Ventura. We offer a queen-sized bed, king-sized bed and air beds are available upon request. This is a full sized home complete with washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, televisions in both bedrooms and living room, lovely back deck in the back yard and a front porch area for sitting and admiring the view of the mountains and quaint architecture of Ventura. We have quick access to the beach. It is about a four block walk and there is a bridge to get you there faster, if you prefer. Downtown has lots of shopping, restaurants and a movie theater which shows ten movies. It is all within walking distance. We have an old-fashioned claw foot bathtub that comes with a shower head on it. We have a nice front and back yard for you to enjoy. Our front porch is an exceptional place to be during the parades. We have quite the view, too. Our home faces the beautiful mountains and homes across the street, which are really pretty to look at. Ventura is a lovely coastal city and the vibe is very laid back and the home is very comfortable. We have a piano for you to play. There are board games and yard games that are provided. We have internet and cable too!!

This is the cutest house. It has everything we needed. The host is wonderful, she said she would bring us whatever we needed (didn’t need a thing as she had everything). She even offered to bring us a Christmas Tree!! We will definitely stay there again!

This was our 3rd time staying at Dee's place, we love it so much. The location is incredible, in easy walking distance of downtown Ventura. The house has everything you need and fits our family of 4 easily, and Dee is so easy to communicate with. We'll definitely be back!

Fun long weekend getaway

The cottage is in a very central location on Main St. Easy walk to all of downtown . Owner was attentive. The cottage clean and well appointed.

We had a wonderful time at Purple Moon Sea Breeze Cottage! We visited with our kids, 7 and 4, and this home was great for us. It was clean, well stocked, had toys and games for the kids, and the location was great. It’s an easy walk to and from the beach (even for the 4 year old). The host, D, communicated well and was very friendly, but she prefers to communicate outside of Vrbo which felt a bit risky, but ended up totally fine. I would definitely recommend this property!

Great stay for work/fun

We were in town as vendors at an art fair, and this place was great. Very comfortable, super close to downtown. Dee was a great host and very communicative. We also had just spent a couple days out on Channel Islands so it was great to have laundry machine available.

50 shades of purple, that’s how o would describe this lovely bungalow. If you love purple and good vibes stay here. It is close to the downtown district where you can easily walk to dinner or shopping and also close to the beach, just a short drive or walk to the beach for sunset. The house is in Main street so close to many businesses yet quiet. Sit on the front porch with a glass of wine in a rocking chair and let your troubles melt away. A great vacation spot and Dee is very responsive. This is a wonderful purple place.

Lovely cottage on Main street.

This place is convenient to the pedestrianized part of Main Street, so it's a very nice area, but just far enough away to be very quiet at night. A few blocks from beach access, and good amenities that made it a very nice trip for us. Host was very communicative, and very accommodating.

The Purple Moon Sea Breeze Cottage is a very nice place to stay. The architecture of the house fits in nicely within the neighborhood of various interesting and well-maintained turn of the century type houses. It has been updated with all modern appointments, is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It might remind you of your grandmother's house. It's close to the beach but doesn't hold to any nautical motif. The purple is just plain old fun. Super convenient to Downtown Ventura, a vibrant and cozy collection of restaurants, breweries and shops. Dorothea is very easy and pleasant to do business with. We would not hesitate to return to Ventura and stay at the Purple Cottage.

I have another place in Nashville, TN that I love too that I rent out as a vacation rental business. Purple Moon River House. The very best part of this vacation rental business is making people happy and that is what I like to do.

Why they chose this property

No words. Just beautiful. Pure JOY! I love to walk downtown and do the fun things downtown. The beach is super close and the neighbors are wonderful.

What makes this property unique

You can literally get anywhere downtown from here. You can walk to the ocean and downtown and you can also go up to the Cross and see the view. Just a great location!
