I do not like leaving anything but glowing reviews, but my family and I have used this VRBO all over the country, and were pretty underwhelmed over the course of our stay. I say “bare minimum” because these owners/hosts need to stay for one weekend to understand what it feels like to call it home away from home. The bunk beds were broken—the top bunk was unstable to the point my boys couldn’t sleep in it as designed. Two bolts in the wall connected to the bed would have fixed that. Two of the beds didn’t have mattress pads, no trash cans in either of the bedrooms OR one of the bathrooms? No kitchen towels, just paper towels. No blackout shades on any of the bedroom windows, just cheap blinds. No laundry detergent or fabric softener to be seen. The place had the bare essentials, but nothing warm to make us feel like we should, including any checkup from the host to see if everything was to cool.
However, it was safe, clean, and we found the basics ok. Each time we’ve used Vrbo I’m enthusiastic about leaving perfect reviews, and we can feel that a host wants to earn their rating and want to possibly improve for the next customer. It would be a disservice to those hosts to give this review the same amount of love.
