Casa Torote Guest House

This is Casa Torote's guest house "casita" which rents separately from the main house on certain periods of the year. Casa Torote, managed by Wanderways Vacation Rentals, is a beautiful ocean view property in an excellent location with a heated pool. The property is just a short walk to the beach, steps away from a fully stock supermarket, artisanal coffee shop, restaurants, bars and more. The nearest & walking distance beach is a great spot to launch or land whatever water wind sport you are into.

The pricing provided in this page is for the casita and is only available part of the year while the owners are staying at the main house. They are both easy going and friendly, and always open to meet new people.

The casita is a studio concept with a spacious feel. Similar to the main casa, it is modern, tastefully appointed, has high speed Wi-Fi and is well equipped. The layout from north to south includes a small front deck, a living room behind wall to wall sliding doors, a kitchen with a dual-purpose center island (cooking and dining), a bedroom, closet, and full bathroom (no tub). The casita also features a small storage unit to keep equipment safe. From outside, you can access a roof deck with beautiful ocean and mountain views to enjoy the sunrise, sunset and beautiful starry nights.

COMMON AREAS:

The common areas include a beautiful palapa and a pool (4 feet deep) that is heated during the colder months (Nov - March). The palapa has a bar in the middle, a long cement countertop with a double sink and a large charcoal grill for BBQs, a half bathroom for guests and a changing room for when you come back from kiting. There is also an outdoor shower and hose for rinsing off after kiting sessions, and a large rack to hang and dry your wetsuits and gear. While there is a hot tub in the property, it is designed for people in the main house, as it is right next to it. Also, it operates only during cooler months, from mid-November to March. If you want to use the hot tub, you are welcome, just keep the above in mind. Operating the hot tub between April and mid-November costs $15/day x number of days in your stay.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

Kiters & Wing foilers: There are two launch spots within a 5 and 10-minutes' walk. The closer launch point is only recommended for intermediate and experienced kiters, and for experienced wing foilers.

Noise at night: Although the town is usually "sleepy" by 9 pm, be aware that occasionally people drive around proud of their music. It is part of their culture, so we can only say welcome to Baja, Mexico! But don't worry, you'll get used to it. But if you are sensitive to noise at night, a couple of earplugs will take care of it.

Small town infrastructure: This is small town Baja Mexico, where infrastructure is not the best. Power outages and infrastructure failures are not uncommon and are out of our control. The environment is harsh on things and will wear and deteriorate things fast. We don't offer refunds for things out of our control or if the home is out of a feature for 1-2 days.
