INDIANA AVENUE BEACH HOUSE 5 BDRMS. 4 BATHS. ACCOMMODATES TWELVE GUESTS!

The Indiana Avenue Beach House is available to mature, responsible and respectful families only. Our home is located in a peaceful, quiet residential neighborhood and is not well suited for loud groups nor late night parties. The home has five bedrooms total. One bedroom is located on the first floor and four bedrooms are located on the second floor. There are four bedrooms with queen beds and the fifth bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds. There are four full baths. One full bathroom is located on the first floor and three bathrooms are located on the second floor. Two of the three second floor bathrooms are en suite and located within a bedroom. Plenty of room for everyone!

Please note that we do not have a huge yard. There is enough room for a game of Baggo, horse shoes, ring toss, etc. in the front or side yard. For outdoor activities that need more space, we are a very short distance to South Haven's South Beach and Kid's Corners Public Park. Just to be clear, we do not have a huge yard. What we do offer is the most ideal location centered between downtown South Haven and Lake Michigan!!!

Given the size and location, we feel the Indiana Avenue Beach House is the perfect home for your family's summer vacation!!!

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Prior to departure at 10:00AM we ask that you please thoroughly wash, dry and put away all used dishes, cookware, utensils, etc.
Prior to departure at 10:00AM we ask that you please be sure to remove all personal belongings from the house so we don’t have to have our cleaning service look for the item and then ship it to you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No loud music or voices after 10:00PM. No parties.
We do not provide refunds for cancelled reservations.
No pets. No emotional support dogs. No exceptions. Please do not ask if we will make an exception.

Michael was an excellent host and communicator! The house was in a perfect location for us to walk wherever we wanted to go! We enjoyed the outdoor patio in the evening and loved the large table in the dining room where we had our coffee each morning and planned our day! Highly recommend this location any time of the year! Very clean and spacious- made lots of memories and had tons of laughs in this beautiful home!

Great Labor Day weekend getaway

Awesome location, price wasn't a great value, but this was a bit of a splurge on a high volume weekend to make the trip easier given access to the beach/harbor for our family without needing to drive. Would stay again.

The property was in a fantastic location—just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to come and go throughout the day. The house itself was very spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out and relax without feeling crowded. Having four bathrooms was a huge plus, as it meant that everyone could enjoy the comfort and convenience of having their own space. My 11 friends and I stayed for a weekend and it was amazing! The house is exactly as described and big enough to comfortably house and sleep 12 adults. The bathrooms are plentiful and the kitchen and living room were large enough to fit everyone at once. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room couch was also super comfortable. The location is also perfect, and walking distance to downtown and the beach. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer! The only minor gripe was that the beds were kind of uncomfortable, but that was more than balanced out by how amazing the property is overall. All in all, stay here, you won’t regret it!

Enjoyed our stay in this great 5 bedroom house. Walking distance to town and marina/lighthouse was a great plus! Beautiful kitchen, nice porches, the only downside was not much yard, and the beds/bedding could be updated. Our host kept us informed and was very accommodating . All in all we had a great weekend in South Haven.

Our property does not have a huge yard. There is a modest front and side yard. Our home does however have two great outdoor spaces for relaxing: a front porch as well as a spacious back deck. While we might not have much of a yard, we do have South Haven's spectacular South Beach within a ten minute walk from our house. The South Beach has playground equipment, a concession stand, public wash rooms and the iconic red light house. Also within a short walk is "Kid's Corners" which is the best park in all of South Haven! Kids Corners has an unbelievable wood jungle gym which is sure to keep your children or grandchildren busy for hours. As the reviewer mentioned, our home is also a very short walk from all of the shops and restaurants in downtown South Haven. So while we may not have much yard space, our home is ideally located right between downtown South Haven and Lake Michigan. Not much down side to that if you ask us! This review also mentions the beds and bedding could be updated. The headboards, bed frames, box springs and mattresses were purchsed locally at Country House Furniture in South Haven in the Spring of 2015. The bedding was also purchased in the Spring of 2015. We alternate sets of sheets weekly as they are taken out to be laundered. The beds and bedding are used mostly in the summer months as this is a beach house and does not get a great deal of use during the off season. We also inspect our bed spreads regularly to see if they need to be mended or cleaned. Hopefully our attention to detail shows and is appreciated. We realize that different guests have different levels of expectations. We work very hard to provide our guests with the highest level of accommodations possible. We hope this shows in all that we do so you are guests may be able to relax in comfort and enjoy your time in South Haven. Thanks for taking the time to read our reviews and our responses. Celebrating 70

Got together with high school girlfriends to celebrate all of us turning 70. Arrived at the Indiana house and every room was spotless and so comfortable. We all loved the kitchen that had everything we needed for us to cook. Loved sitting out on the deck enjoying Michigan fresh air. Short walk to town for shopping and restaurants. Michael's rentals are well cared for and you will feel like you are at home. Highly recommend!

South Haven Beach Home Rentals

We had a fantastic weekend getaway in South Haven thanks in large part to our wonderful host, Michael! From the very beginning, communication with Michael was excellent. He was prompt, informative, and answered all our questions thoroughly before our arrival. Upon arrival, the house was exactly as described and clean. It was the perfect space for our group of friends. Overall, our experience with Michael was top-notch. He made our stay in South Haven enjoyable and stress-free. Quinn vacation

The vacation was wonderful. The house was a great location and walking distance to beach and town. Weather was perfect. There were a few things that could be improved. Not enough flatware or dinner ware for 12. Otherwise it was great. I had a couple of issues with air conditioning and when I called the owner he called me back immediately and answered all of my questions. I would rent this home again. We are planning to return next year.. Thank you

We live in the north suburbs of Chicago however we feel South Haven is our home away from home. We can not say enough great things about the community and the people of South Haven. We both have very demanding schedules and spending time together in South Haven allows us to focus on each other and our four children.

Why they chose this property

It seems with most beach towns in Southwest Michigan, if you stay at the beach, you have to drive in to town. Conversely, if you stay in town, you have to drive to the beach. South Haven offers the ability to walk to both. The South Beach and downtown area are only a short three block walk from the Indiana Avenue Beach House. Life is good and the living is easy!

What makes this property unique

We enjoy the easy access to the South Beach as well as the less than five minute walk to downtown South Haven. Once the groceries are purchased, there is no need for your car again. We have said it so many times but it is true... once you come to South Haven, it feels as though all of life's struggles seem to be lifted. We hope you are able to experience the same feeling! A great set up for additional family or your best friends but you still have your own private space!!!
