It was a great place to stay. Very clean with a lot of amenities. Hosts were very nice and very accommodating. It is a Wyndham property so there was some discussion about bringing our husbands there next time to listen to the talk, which was a little odd.

“Buyer beware” and “Trust but verify” are two cliches that come to mind. First, the unit is advertised as a 2 BR suite so we felt that 2 couples would be fine to book it. BR 1 had a Queen size bed but BR2 had 2 “twin” size beds that were really too small for normal size adults. There was a sofa bed which wasn’t part of our plan. Second, we got only 1 pass for our car and the other couple was told to park their car in the Newport Visitor Center lot and it would be free. Well it was free for only 1 night and they were charged 86.50 to get their “free” parked car out on checkout day.The staff on check in tried to “give” us 5 free nights at their Florida resort for only 111.00 but we’ve been scammed before with such a “free” offer.Nice location, nice wine and cheese hour. But please verify every cost and amenity before you buy!There are better places to stay in Newport, RI.

This is our 5th time staying at this resort in Newport. Very close to everything (walking distance) - parked the car for the entire weekend. Staff is friendly and helpful. Perfect for the start of our New England tour.

We were on our way to tour New England for a fall tour. Our first stop was a 2 day stay at The Point. Even though we arrived late on the first night the staff was available and very helpful. They pointed us to a great restaurant. Every thing about the condominium was as advertised and the Newport location near the seaside was perfect for the start of our tour.

We had the split level 2 bed unit. Very spacious and well appointed. The facilities were fabulous although trying to find the gym early in the morning is entertaining- as main door was shut so they sent me on a detour.
