Sweeping panoramic sound and sunset views await at Paradise Sound, a stunning waterfront home on beautiful Colington Island.

Relaxing in the soundfront screened-in porch with a cold drink after a long day of fun will be your favorite daily routine at Paradise Sound. Spend your evenings around the firepit watching the sun slowly sink into the horizon. The dog will love the fenced-in backyard!

The mid level offers a large open living and dining area with endless views. Just off the dining area, the open kitchen provides stainless steel appliances, plenty of storage, and countertop seating for two. A king master bedroom and private bath with a stall shower round out this level.

Upstairs, two queen bedrooms share a full bath. The ground level den with couches and a TV is the perfect hang-out space during nights in.

A Stair Tamer for luggage and groceries makes unpacking the car a breeze. Please note that the Stair Tamer is currently inoperable. Once repaired, this note will be removed.

Guests at Paradise Sound are sure to enjoy all of the amenities Colington Harbour offers just 2.4 miles away, including a soundside park with sandy beaches, a playground, with a sheltered picnic area, an Olympic-sized soundfront community pool and kiddie pool, community tennis, and basketball courts. Colington Harbour also offers boat ramp access, so you can cruise the canals or hit the sound for a fun-filled day on the water!

As Colington Island is in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, you’ll have easy access to a wide array of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping opportunities, as well as numerous attractions and guest destinations, like the Wright Brothers Memorial. Just a short 10-15 minute drive down Colington Road is the Ocean Bay Blvd. public beach access, the main location for Kill Devil Hills Ocean Rescue, offering handicapped beach access, public parking, and restrooms.

Note: The garage is not for guest use. Stackable washer/dryer in the en suite is not plugged in and not for guest use.

Paradise Sound is pet-friendly. There is an additional charge of $195 plus tax for guests bringing pets, which will be added and collected after booking.

The view and yard are very nice. The house needs some work and upgrades. The main storm door is broken and the lock sticks really bad. Once locked, very hard to unlock. One of the doors to go out on to the porch is warped from what looks like done water damage. That door Aldo has trouble with the lock. We had no tv or WiFi when checking in. Had to wait until the next day to have this addressed. Outdoor furniture could use upgrading. Smoke detector was beeping and kept us up all night. Had to call maintenance several times during our stay. Also, microwave kicked the breaker and stopped working. Didn’t have the best experience

Hello, Marie. We understand how frustrating it would be to have multiple issues occur during vacation. Thank you for reporting some of these concerns during your stay so we could address them. Our notes show that a maintenance tech came out to the property and was able to help with the doors and also changed the smoke detector batteries. We also see that the problems with the internet connection were resolved once all the necessary cords were plugged in. Please know that our rentals team communicated all of this to the homeowner. We do not see a report regarding the microwave. Hopefully you'll give us another chance, perhaps in a different property.
