Beautiful property, not great arrival experience

Wonderful property, clean and comfortable, great suite and pool, location worked very well for us. I would note for other guests that parking is *not* included in the price of the rental. There is an additional $25/day to park in the garage on site. We were caught off guard by this extra cost as it is not noted in the listing description, and the descriptions lists parking on site as an amenity. Property management is also not onsite after 5pm, so check-in was not very easy. They sent us an email that landed in spam, so we never received check-in instructions until we showed up and couldn’t get inside. Not an easy start with two kids who were half-asleep and tired from a long day of travel. I would be fine with all of these things if I had known in advance of what to expect. After the initial hiccups, the property was very enjoyable, and we would stay again, now knowing what to expect and what the total costs would be. Again, everything else about the property was wonderful.
