Bright and cozy 1 bedroom guest suite in Newport’s 5th Ward. Quiet neighborhood. Close to beaches (3/4 mile to closest public beach, 2 miles from Easton’s beach), Fort Adams (~1.5 miles), heart of downtown Newport (~1 mile) and walking distance to Mansions and Cliff walk. Bedroom has king bed with pull out twin and full couches. Retractable divider can separate king from other beds/living area. 32” HD TV with cable, DVD player and VHS player. Kitchenette has full refrigerator/freezer, sink, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave and Dining table. Private bath. Private entrance through shared backyard/deck. Beach chairs, cooler available. Easy trip to Fort Adams, Brenton Point or downtown Newport, plus numerous beaches/waterfront. AC window unit(s) installed seasonally.

Great Place to Stay!

Wonderful suite & hosts!

Perfect suite for 2 or 3 guests - Lisa and Kelly were wonderful hosts. Lisa reached out a few days before with all the details and gave us suggestions while we were in town. Small things such as the local newspaper/brochures and bottled water in the fridge were much appreciated! Parking was available and great location, walking distance to the Mansions and just a short drive to Thames St/Bannisters Wharf. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great spot in quiet residential neighborhood - good access to many key local places

My wife and I found this place as an end of summer get away for just the two of us. It was perfect for us. Quiet, clean, comfortable, with easy walking distance to Bailey Beach, the cliff walk and to the Thames Street commercial district with restaurants and shops. Lisa and Kelly were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and even provided daily local newspapers and some specific recommendations. Drawback - no stove or toaster oven. It doesn't describe one in the listing or anything, but it would be a nice addition (at least a toaster oven). For the most part we always ate out anyway, so it was not a problem for us. I would also say that the overall construction is fairly low-end, but very well maintained. The owners live in the house this is attached to. It is over the garage, and we could hear the door opening when we slept in - but it was not a big deal. All these are really minor issues and if you look carefully in the listing it is all as described and very fairly described. Overall, we loved our visit and the owners and appreciated everything they did. We highly recommend it!

Great Vacation Rental

Glad to have found this rental. A small group of my friends and I were looking for a place to stay while in town for the Newport Folk Festival and I came across this listing and it was perfect for us. With the king size bed and the two pull out beds, we all had a comfortable place to sleep without being cramped. The deck and spacious backyard also helped make it a relaxing stay. The place is within walking/biking distance to Fort Adams and other places downtown. The owners were very easy to communicate with leading up to the trip and also very accommodating during out stay. My only complaint with my stay was that it was only for a quick weekend, and we couldn't stay longer to see and do more around town. I would definitely recommend this spot and hope to be able to rent it again in the future.

Great spot just a short walk to downtown Newport.

Great spot. A great little guest wing off main house. Super clean. Very comfortable bed. Walkable to downtown Newport and Cliffwalk. Very friendly host family, very accommodating.

Why they chose this property

Location of this property is perfect for attending events at Fort Adam's State Park as well as enjoying all Newport has to offer. We have taken our bikes to the Folk Fest multiple times avoiding long lines of traffic and saving time. Plus, the ride is scenic.

What makes this property unique

Off street parking for 2 cars. One will need to park behind the other. Quiet area. Great star watching. Some nights you can hear the surf from the backyard.
