Cozy Cabin in Carpathian Mountains
Our cozy little cabin for is rich with opportunities to enjoy the outdoors an take a vacation from life in Romania's beautiful Carpathian Mountains with the cabin situated beside a rippling mountain stream. There are activities for all outdoor enthusiasts. From skiing and snowboarding on Muntele Mic's ski resort, to hiking the surrounding mountains, Tarcu mountain is 2,198 m above sea level, miles of trails to bike or atv, breathtaking scenery from the surrounding mountains, which are a photographer's haven. Observe the quaint romanian village life in the villages along the way as you come to the cabin. The nearest town Caransebes has a nice selection of restaurants, and a small mall and other stores for shopping. The Caransebes air show takes place every year, which is only 15 min from the cabin.
The Little Mountain Cabin is located in a very convenient location for day trips to see loads of medieval history of Romania. There are a number of castles, Sarmigezetusa, the ancient dacian capital, Fagaras Mountains, Sibiu, Brasov, Cluj, Timisoara, where the revolution began in 1989, and countless well preserved villages are all within a nice day trip range.
The Little Mountain Cabin has a picnic area beside the creek where you can enjoy summer nights, grilling and enjoying the peacefulness in the mountains. A quaint traditional water well fits the atmosphere of the Romanian village life. The large windows facing east in the living room allow the sunrise to stream in as you pour a steaming cup of coffee. The indoor wood fireplace creates a soft atmosphere on those snowy winter days, perfect to read a book and enjoy the crackling fire. An upstairs loft and balcony is a nice addition to the space and you can enjoy the sound of the rushing stream from the balcony. There are balconies out the back bedroom door, and also at the front door, perfect for a picnic.
Equipped with a full kitchen allowing you to cook for yourself, with a village store just 2 km down the road for any immediate needs you might have, they also have a nice selection of groceries. A washing machine/dryer is in the closet, for your use. The bedroom has drawer cabinets and a closet, ample room to unpack and organize.

I grew up in Pennsylvania, USA, and always loved traveling. I traveled all over North America and Europe in the last 10 years. The Little Mountain Cabin , which is the place I have come to love; has a story. And yes, it's a love story. In Summer of 2012, a I traveled to Romania on a voluntary service trip, and met the love of my life in a nearby Romanian village. I couldn't forget her, and in the Fall of 2012 traveled back and we started a courtship. I stayed in Romania that Winter and studied and learned the Romanian language. And as time went on, the future looked brighter together. In July of 2013, we were joined in marriage. With the complexities of immigrating to America, we had to stay in Romania for considerable time after they were married, and so to provide a place to live until the paperwork was completed, we bought this peaceful piece of land and built a dream log cabin with our own hands. And thus was the cabin built for couples.
We now reside in Pennsylvania, USA, and come back to Romania periodically to spend time visiting her family and enjoy the mountains and memories of our love story. We did not want to sell the cabin that held so many precious memories, so we decided to share the romantic oasis with other couples looking for a place to be alone and spend quality time together in God's great outdoors. Great attention to detail is poured into this place to tailor it to making it the ideal place for peace, tranquilty, and relaxation where precious moments are savored with your loved one.

What makes this property unique
We loved the location of this piece of land. When we bought it, it was a bare field. After years of working at it, we have become quite fond of this little private oasis. The picnic area by the creek, the rustic log entrance with the wagon wheel chandelier, the view through the living room windows of the full moon over the mountains... the peacefulness and birds singing in the mornings are all what has made this place become special.
