Historic Living on Still Waters of the St. Criox National Scenic Riverway. Stillwater, Minnesota, was voted one of the “Top 5 Midwest Towns to Visit Now” and is rated as one of the top 10 “Prettiest Towns in America” by Forbes Magazine. Stillwater is continuously voted a favorite getaway in Minnesota and nationwide. The reason for these significant designations is that the setting is truly unique, and Stillwater has so much to offer every type of visitor year-round.
Experience the natural beauty of the St. Croix River, bluffs, and historic architecture while cruising on a boat, taking a trolley tour, or exploring on foot or by bike. Discover the 100+ independently owned shops and restaurants along historic Main Street, or try any of our 50 group experience ideas, from candle making to golf to kayaking or spas. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, you’ll find fun festivals, live music, culinary classes, and fabulous lodging options in a photographer's dream destination.
The condo has recently been remodeled with brand-new updated bathrooms. The primary bedroom and private bath have a large walk-in shower with jetted shower heads. Sit and relax on your private deck overlooking a historic limestone wall, cliff, and cave with an underground creek emerging from it along a quiet walking path amidst flowers and gardens. If quiet daytime living and exciting nighttime entertainment options are your vibe, this location is a rare offering in downtown Stillwater. Biking and hiking trails abound along old railroad beds and bridges. This condo is offered only twice a year to carefully vetted guests who care for and make this their temporary home. The two seasons are May through October (six months) for our southern friends who want to escape the southern hemisphere heat and November through April (six months) for those who want to enjoy the whole seasonal holiday and its events that only a Rivertown like Still Water can offer—book in advance to secure your stay. At less than $350 a night, it is far less expensive than the limited boutique motels and hotels Still Water offers.
Stillwater is full of activities and has a festival nearly every month. You can enjoy quiet riverside restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and various nightlife entertainment options. Drive the scenic riverway to historic Marine on St. Croix, Taylors Falls, and its bluffs (see the old town of St. Croix on the hill and St. Croix Falls just across the river in Wisconsin. All of this is just a twenty-minute drive north of Stillwater. State parks abound along the way, with canoe and kayak rentals on the river. If you are bored living in Still Water, it can only be so by your choice. Stay and play. If you own a boat, see about renting a temporary slip at a marine in Stillwater or Bayport. Enjoy one of the nation's most scenic waterways any way you'd like.
