It was a lot bigger than we expected. It was in a nice location. About 10 min walk to nice dining and small grocery store. About a 15 min walk to one of the many beaches. We enjoyed our stay very much and would like to come back with family next time.

A Comfy Corner Of Paradise

We had an absolute blast in the DR and a big part of that was due to our amazing VRBO. Not only was the place clean and comfortable, but the property was beautiful and well-maintained. I’m so glad we chose this property. The pool is beautiful. The VRBO is a two minute walk to a convenience store that sells water, beer, basic medicine, and snacks. It’s a 10 minute walk to the town center, where you will find multiple beautiful restaurants, live music, gift shops, and the access to the public beach. Overall this property is a 10/10 and I’ll definitely come back to it next time we’re in the DR!

Nice secure complex this could’ve a gold mine. This unit requires a little TLC could use some brighter light bulbs and some bed side lamps. This is a good 10-15 minute walk to the beach, pool is amazing, great restaurants 10-15 minutes walk

Thank you for your feedback. We have purchased bed side lamps and brighter light bulbs. To clarify, there are great restaurants from 1 minute walk up to 15 minutes walking... All depends where you want to go... and the closest beach access point is approximately 8 minute walk.

It was set back from the beach (approx. 1 km walk) which also meant that it was quiet at night (away from loud music and crowds). The nightlife was just a short walk away. The property is beautiful & neighbors are delightful; it’s truly a friendly community. Location is perfect, very quiet but a short safe walk to shops, restaurants (I highly recommend Trebol!) & beach.I have one criticism (but this does not negate a very positive review) - the upstairs portion of C302 was VERY hot. There is only a single air condition unit located within the bedroom so the living area & bathroom were very hot all of the time - I even had to purchase a fan.Maintenance issues were addressed immediately (within minutes!).

Disappointed in stay and property mgmt company

Let me start out by saying I have stayed on this property before, just in a different condo. The property is very safe and well maintained.I booked this specific condo as we were vacationing with my family- including my 77 year old mother and I thought the 2nd floor would be perfect for her to have her own space.The day of arrival we saw 2 roaches in the condo. Again I understand that with the climate in the DR this can be common but it is not usually an issue inside of these condos. I immediately reported my concern and was told someone would be there in the morning to spray. Well someone showed up and instead handed me a can of spray for me to use if I saw anymore. I expected someone to be sent to spray but that did not happen even though I requested it again.There were also 2 faucets in the condo that were leaking. One was in the upstairs bathroom and when the water was turned on the water just poured out of the vanity. It was almost like the pipe was not connected properly. It was fixed but I wonder how they didn’t notice this when cleaning the sink before our arrival. The biggest issue was the elevator. It was broken the whole time we were there and my mother couldn’t go up and down the steps and had to leave after 6 days to return home. I reported this concern every day and NOTHING was done. When we left the elevator still was not working. With my mother having to leave due to the elevator, our family vacation was ruined.

3 Generation Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Six of us stayed in Costa Hermosa unit C302 January 31 to February 14/18 It was spacious with very comfortable beds. Our adult children and grandchildren had the 3rd floor ( 2 beds, 2 1/2 baths, living, dining, kitchen etc) we had the top floor with 1 bed, 1 bath, small living, dining and kitchen. The grounds and pool were beautiful, very well looked after by Wilson and his associates. We were about a ten minute walk to the beautiful beach, shopping and restaurants. We worried about finding beach chairs but at the access to the beach that we were directed to is a restaurant with an Italian name, there we found chairs that we could use in return for a small purchase ( Presidente @ 150 pesos) Another place we found is Hurican, to the West.....200 for the beer. Other restaurants we enjoyed were Citrus ( the Mahi-mahi was lovely, as were their hamburgers) Pastrata was great Mexican food, Balicana good Asian food. Although the food at Pranama (Indian)was excellent, it was very expensive for smallish portions, there are no included side dishes rice, bread etc has to be ordered separately. Our kids fell in love with the little French bakery near the “Bam” market.....great food,coffee, portions, price and cheerful service. At the condo we had a few issues ( the shower head was broken, no hot water in the upstairs area etc) but the Go Punta Cana Real Estate girls addressed everything as quickly as possible. The breakfast bar in this unit could be a safety hazard, it is heavy and unglued on one side.....we pointed this out on our leaving and hope that it will be addressed for future guests. Biggest let down, the elevator was broken, has been for a long time according to a reliable source. No matter who is responsible, owner, condo should be revealed to prospective renters. We were fine, but anyone with mobility issues would not be! Out of $420US deposit for electricity we got back $295....didn’t run air too much. Overall, would go back tomorrow😀

The area isn’t the safest . If you need to walk around I would say in the daytime ok but at nite a lot of interesting people that are up to no good near by a few blocks away. Security at the actualCosta hermosa are very friendly and polite. The actual unit C-302 is rented at a very reasonable price. The staff that manage the unit are awesome and very attentive and respond to your email very fast. My family had an awesome stay and that made me very happy.

Wonderful vacation home !!

The condo is beautiful !! perfect for a family with children, it is very large, for 6 people, the main room is another apartment with a kitchen, that is, 2 families can be in the condominium. good clean !! and 5 minutes walk are restaurants, mini markers, pharmacy and the beach only 8 minutes walk !! The pool was very nice, the only thing is that it was a bit dirty, but the condo had 24 hour security. and what made our time better was the excellent communication with the rantal office !! the community of the cortecito is so good that we decided to buy a condominium in Costa Hermosa. We recommend Costa Hermosa to everyone.

Fantastic Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this apartment for four weeks Jan/Feb 2020. The property was well appointed. We had all the amenities we required to cook and entertain guests that visited during our stay. We called the property manager about a couple of things that needed attention. Someone was at the apartment within five minutes, so very good service.The pool area was well kept. The pool is laid out so lane swimming is possible. The apartment is a few minute walk to the beach as you have to reach a street that isn't blocked by an all-inclusive. The area felt safe to walk around in at night.

No one bothered us out walking. Beach is about 10 minutes away. I would suggest a better Map of where the public beach is.I would recommend this place to anyone. Just a warning that you pay for electric but you can keep an eye on the meter. We ended up getting money back from the electric deposit.

Thanks for letting others know about our condo. We try to make sure it has all the things you might need on vacation! We include a welcome book that includes maps, we send the information in advance, provide printed maps of the area at check in and google maps also works in the D.R. As indicated in all of our advertised listings - The Dominican Republic is a developing country and it has its challenges in regards to cost effective electricity distribution.  Therefore, to encourage renters to conserve electricity during their stay, they will be responsible for electricity charges during their stay.  Also, this allows us to offer lower rates since we do not have to include more $$$ per night to take electricity consumption into consideration. We collect an ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT IN CASH UPON ARRIVAL.  It is just a DEPOSIT, real consumption calculated at the end of your stay and deducted from the CASH DEPOSIT PAID UPON ARRIVAL.

Natural day light makes the house so bright and beautiful. The house was immaculate, we had everything we needed. The staff was very cordial and nice. The property is located within walking distance from nice restaurants , supermarket and the beach. My family and I enjoyed our stay there, and we absolutely recommend to our friends and anyone who is thinking of going to Punta Cana. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Great Rental Property for Family Vacation

Reviewer Comments: CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT: We struggled a little using the lockbox at checkin but when we contacted the number on the reservation and someone at our door within 2 minutes to help us out. The rest was easy and we were quoted ~$220 for the electricity and we received ~$25 back at the end of the week. THE PROPERTY: The property was well maintained inside and out and came equipped with basically anything you'd need throughout the week: towels, cooking, laundry, cleaning supplies, etc. The complex was quiet with friendly staff and helpful security. The pool was rarely busy and has several areas that were only knee deep which was great because we had 2 young kids with us that could play a little more freely than they would have been able to at other hotel pools. The 2 down-sides to the condo was that many of the rooms didn't have dressers so I felt like we were living out of our suitcase the whole week. The elevator in our building was also out of commission for the first few days but once we mentioned it to the association president it was up and running (power needed to be reset) same or next day it was addressed. The unit was also very spacious that even though there were 7 of us staying together we never felt cramped or tight on space. LOCATION: We booked our taxi service through our booking reservation and that was pretty easy. We used those taxi drivers several times throughout the week and even coordinated our return back to the airport with them. The condo is ~7-10 minute walk to the downtown area that had shops, restaurants, grocery stores and maybe an extra 3-5 minute walk to get to the beach. The beach was clean and not too crowded. The streets that we walked on were dirty with trash dumped in bushes/side of the road, etc, but we never felt unsafe walking them. RECOMMENDATION: I would stay here again without hesitation and would recommend it to others looking for a place to stay

Some quiet r&r with modern & chic

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The modern & chic condo aesthetic made up for the lack of pool space and awkward layout. The staff at Go Punta Cana are always super accommodating and professional. However this particular stay was not just dampened by cloudy skies but the lack of water at night. The upstairs layout was a bit off guests would have to walk thru a bedroom to get to outdoor space. The pool areas include 4 kiddie pools. If your looking for some quiet r&r this place is a winner if you can do without running water at night.

Thank you for your review and feedback. To clarify, the water situation was temporary due to one of the water pumps going down. It all has been fixed and no lack of water now. Things do happen and water pumps can break. Repairs are attended/assessed quickly; however, sometimes the repair or getting the parts needed can take a few days. That is what is commonly called "island time".
