Welcome to Hartman Castle!

Unique amenities: 9-holes of mini golf, arcade games, ping pong, pickleball, and 2 party decks.

Perfect for large groups: 2 King, 3 Queen, 2 Full, and 3 Twin beds, plus 3 Queen size pull-out couches and a sleeper sofa. Sleeps up to 24.

Other things to note
To start you off, we provide a small amount of dish soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Please plan to purchase more for extended stays.

We also provide plenty of pool towels for you to use at the lake. Please bring your favorite lake float/life jacket/ etc.

Hartman Castle is a unique property with stairs, balconies, stone surfaces, and waterfront access, and an open drawbridge. To ensure everyone has an enjoyable and safe stay, please keep a close eye on any children in your party throughout your visit, as these features require extra attention. By booking with us, guests acknowledge the property's characteristics and agree to supervise children appropriately during their stay.

The castle is not handicap accessible.

Great property for big groups. Booked for 15 for a Race weekend and was excellent. Pickle ball, putt putt, ping pong table, and Lake access made for a spectacular weekend. Would book again if we choose to attend the race again. PS. The last day we were treated to a fun little surprise that made our last day that much better.

This place has potential, but it was not very clean- spiderwebs all over the place. The bathrooms also were very small and not conducive for washing your face or showering.The view was great! And the fire pit was amazing.The host was responsive as well.

Very unique property with tons of activities. Let me say you must be physically able to walk multiple flights of stairs. It is a sprawling home with every bed type

Amazing, One-of-A-Kind Spot With a Few Bedroom Issues

First of all, we've stayed all over the country and all over the world, and no VRBO has been quirkier or more memorable than this one. Fun and weird and beautiful--I'm very glad we went. The managers were a pleasure to deal with, and many of the amenities were outstanding. The dishwater and glassware was fit for royalty! Every statue and picture and suit of armor seemed to have a story behind it. I mean, there is a freaking drawbridge.You'll have a blast here...BUT just be aware that although eight bedrooms are listed, many of those are not standard bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are in a separate guesthouse with no bathroom, so guests need to walk outdoors back to the main house in the middle of the night. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing on the front end. One of the beds is in what's more of a sitting room... with a bathroom that must be shared with two other bedrooms, so it's not private at all. One set of bunk beds is just built into the wall. So if you're traveling with a group of adults as we did, just be aware that only three bedrooms are truly private (meaning with a door), and an easily accessible bathroom. The common space inside and outdoors is amazing, but the bedroom situation doesn't quite match.Even knowing that, I'd highly recommend it for a fun, truly original get-away with family or friends.
