About this property

Family Log House in the rural North Iceland. Brand new with a stunning view.

Located in Skagafjordur in North of Iceland. Complete privacy with only farms in the vicinity. Wake up in silence with occasional bird songs and possibly lamb bleating (during May - June). The cabin is fairly new, well heated with WIFI connection. The kitchenette has a fridge, washing machine, coffee machine, small stove and an Air fryer. Outside there is a gas lit barbecue. The bunker bed can sleep 3 children (2 young ones below and a bigger one or an adult above). A small grocery store is 15 minutes drive away. Skagafjordur offers many hiking options, pool experience and has several Horse renting farms, boat trips, river rafting, museums, skiing area, natural spas and more. Saudárkrokur, 30 minutes drive, has restaurant options, grocery stores and virtual reality battle-museum. Only 50 minutes drive to Akureyri where you´ll find more stores, activities and internal/external flights.

Beautiful Log House and Beautiful Area

Easy check in. The place was beautiful. The kitchen is tiny but the air fryer we were able to use for pretty much everything. We loved our stay. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful view, cozy and warm

We got perfect directions to this amazing rural cabin perfect for me and my friend. Stunning view, so quiet, farm animals nearby. Good spot for day trips. The water smells a bit sulfury so you may want to bring some bottled water but it is drinkable and clean. Really lovely spot and I’m glad we stayed here.

Very satisfied with our stay overall, very friendly host and a great location with some stunning views of the mountains. The only slight down side was the size of the kitchen area, and accessibility of the fridge and pans etc, which were quite high up. A stool would have been useful ?

Sehr schönes neues Blockhaus mit vielen durchdachten Details. Nur Schafe als Nachbarn, die ins sehr willkommen waren.Wir waren zu dritt und mussten Lösungen für die Koffer finden, so haben wir improvisiert.Da im Blockhaus Thermalwasser genutzt wird, riecht das warme Wasser etwas schwefelig, was uns aber nicht gestört hat.Die Betten waren sehr bequem, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Auch die Informationen über die Anfahrt und Lage waren sehr genau formuliert.Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Gemütliche Hütte

Wir waren zwei Nächte dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Es gab Polarlichter und einen tollen Sonnenaufgang. Die Lage ist super. Und die Schafe auf ihrer Wanderung zu beobachten, ist Entspannung pur. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Tolle Unterkunft in einer gemütlichen Blockhütte

Die Unterkunft ist super gemütlich, mit einem großen total bequemen Sofa. Das WLAN ist top (einfach QR Code auf der Box scannen, los geht's), besonders wenn man bedenkt, da man sehr abgelegen wohnt. Bettwäsche und Betten waren sehr kuschelig. Die Küche ist etwas klein, aber dafür sogar mit Geschirrspüler (Tabs waren vorhanden). Die Heizung ist sehr effektiv, hat auch bei Sturm und Regen schnell Wärme geliefert. Es war sooooo gemütlich! Die Zufahrt ist etwas ruckelig, aber nur die letzten 100 m. Vorsichtig und langsam geht es aber mit jedem Auto (am besten versetzt zur Fahrspur fahren). Eine tolle Unterkunft, für alle, die Natur, schöne Aussicht und Blockhaus Feeling genießen wollen.
