I(Sam) am an immigration lawyer and social justice advocate from Los Angeles, California. My work is focused in helping the Latino and LGBT communities. My brother Zac lives with me and we host guests at our home. We both enjoy traveling and hosting other travelers at our home here in southern California. I love to dance, explore, learn and be creative. My ultimate goal is to make a difference in my community, whether locally or globally. Zac does several things beyond hosting guests, like running a crossfit gym in North Hollywood called Angelino Crossfit. If you're interested in learning more about him, he says to visit his website,
Why chose Highland Park

The local neighborhood is also steps away and offers everything: Places to eat in ½ mile: Antigua bread-great coffee spot and food is delicious, Las Caszuelas-authentic Salvadorian cuisine and draft beer, Kitchen Mouse-amazing vegan & gluten free fare, La Estrella-Bomb 24/7 Mexican food, the original La Fuente(cash only) on Monte vista rd. for an authentic Mexican dining experience. Follieros-Great Italian+Pizza(cash only). Good Girl Dinette-delicious Vietnamese fusion. Chez Antoine-Legit French cuisine & Crepes! Via-Mar and El Pescador-the best fish tacos and Mexican style seafood in HP. There’re also Several Food Trucks down towards Food4less on Figueroa and many other places not mentioned, Mexican bakery, Juice shops, etc. Bars in ½ mile: La Cuelvita, Greyhound Bar and Grill. Workout Studios in ½ mile: Kinship-hot yoga studio Pop-Physique Highland Park Crossfit and Zumba You’ll need to visit the websites to view workout schedules. For a Great Hiking Experience-Walk East down Avenue 57 towards the 110 fwy, cross over the fwy and you’ll immediately have access to Debs Park and hiking in Montecito heights, amazing views!! The Highland Park Farmer’s Market is every Tuesday right in front of the house from 3-8pm and of course there’s the Highland Theater, always showing the latest releases for $4 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
