Tune out of the world, and relax, or take a short drive to plug back into the action of Hot Springs. 15 minutes from downtown, and the racetrack. 2 queen beds in seperate rooms, 1 bathroom, and large screened-in sunporch. Outdoor seating areas complete with fire pit and grill, perfect to sip wine, and relax. Kitchen, including refridgerator, electric stove, toaster oven, coffee pot, microwave, vintage dishes and cookware. comes with Wi-Fi and the SmartTV has Netflix account INCLUDED . Lake area log cabin. Built in the 1920’s as a formans cabin, with Deeded Lake Catherine main channel access for rowing, paddle. Breath taking view of Lake Catherine right up the road. Mountain area with botanical gardens close by at Garvin Woodland Gardens, hiking trails, amusement parks, natural Hot Water springs, and even a Thoroughbred Horse racetrack with gaming casino. Birthday Weekend Get Away

The cabin was a great location to sightsee the Hot Springs area! It was clean, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. The cabin is decorated beautifully with all things vintage. We loved our weekend and would definitely recommend it!

Rustic Getaway

A perfect little cabin filled with special touches to make your stay special. Check in was easy and the cabin was very clean and fully stocked. The place was quiet, peaceful and secluded. When the lights are turned off, it is very dark. We would definitely go back.

I needed a few days away from the normal.. i hit the jackpot with this house. Its quiet, the decor is awesome. When it was bedtime.. the bed i picked sucked me in! I did not want to get up. Comfortable and i will be back!

Absolutely Wonderful

This place is stunning to say the least. Julie really thought about everything! From the landscaping, the decor, the board games and books, to the rustic-ness of this cabin, it is absolutely perfect!! It is located in a quiet and cozy corner of a beautiful wooded area. If you are looking to escape from the busy city life, I suggest you visit this place!

Very quiet

If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind then this is definitely the place for you! Just walking onto the porch takes you back to a time when things were much simpler. Then you walk in and the stone hearth and log walls from the1920’s give you a sense of peace. I found myself daydreaming about how the first occupants live over 100 years ago. It was definitely a wonderful experience. One that my wife and I will definitely remember!

The Best Time

We were very pleased with the accomadations! Eveything was better than described. We spent an hour just exploring the premises and the house. If your looking for quaint you will not only enjoy the amenities but also the antiques and other novelties in the cabin. We will definately stay again if we get back that way!! The only negative I can think of was the stove was unlevel. Other than that it was wonderful!

Amazing stay

Awesome property! Super easy check in/out & everything you could need was provided. Location is also great, easy to get downtown or to grocery store in 10-15 minutes. The cabin was a little warm during the day but that wasn't unexpected as the cabin is old plus it is insanely hot outside. It did cool down enough to sleep at night plus there were small fans sitting around that helped. Also the two beds seemed a little small but we are used to a king so that's probably why. There were only 2 of us staying anyhow so we each took one bed and it worked out just fine.

Escape!

The minute we walked in we knew the right choice was made. TV and Wifi were ok at best but that turned out to be the best part of the trip. My wife and I have been married for 20 plus years and so imagine our surprise that we sat and talked till midnight two nights in a row. I played guitar and my wife sang. This place gave us such a recharge in our relationship. Life stresses are hard, but this place allowed us to truly disconnect from the world and remember why we feel in love and got married. We will be back but no kids. We have decided that this will be our place to escape to alone. Book it! you will be so glad you did.

40th birthday girls trip

The roads to get to the cabin were a little nerve wracking in the dark and fog when we arrived, but felt peaceful as soon as we walked into the cabin. The check in process couldn’t have been easier. It is adorable and so cozy. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable. The chair choices were on point. I fell asleep in the low profile reclined chair while reading every night. It was a bit of a drive (20ish minutes from the National park) each day, but the location was overall very quiet and somewhat secluded, which was nice! My only suggestions would be to have some body wash or soaps available to guests and update some of the restaurant pamphlets. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely consider returning if in the area again! Thanks for sharing the cabin with us-it’s a special place!

This cabin exceeded all expectations! We loved how private and secluded we were. The place was exceptionally clean and we loved the vintage, whimsical decor. Highly recommend driving to Lake Catherine State Park (less than 20 min drive) - an absolute highlight on the trip! We had so much fun and we can't wait to return soon.

We had a great stay while spending our anniversary in Hot Springs. Everything was clean, the environment was very relaxed and quiet. Grateful for people pour love into historic structures, this one is beautiful. Would stay here again.

I have been hosting people, for a number of years. I thoroughly enjoy providing an escape, that feels a bit like stepping back in time. My style, is one of ease, comfort, and privacy.

Why they chose this property

The cabin is located on a secluded loop. It’s about 15 minutes from everything in Hot Springs, but very quiet. It was originally built by the engineers, that built, Carpenter Dam, Knotty pine was originally a foreman’s cabin.
It has been lovingly restored, to resemble a cabin from the 1920s

What makes this property unique

Knotty Pine, has had a long history, originally built by engineers as a Foreman‘s cabin. In later years, it was owned by an organic worm farmer. The stonework on the patio is very unique. The voltage log ceilings, give it a very spacious feeling. It is designed to feel like it was an old family cabin.
