Welcome to our newly built Little Mesquite Retreat. Located in Wichita Falls, Texas. If you're looking for a private and peaceful place to stay, look no further. Our 2-bedroom, 2 bath house is a cozy and comfortable retreat tucked away in the country side, surrounded by Texas Mesquite trees.

As you walk in you will be welcomed by an open kitchen and living area. The kitchen has all the amenities you need to make a home cooked meal or make snacks and popcorn. Complete with full size appliances. The living room is ready for you to enjoy a movie and snacks or cozy up on the couch and relax after a long busy day.

Enjoy a warm cup of coffee on the covered back porch as the sun rises over the mesquite patch. In the evening, sit around the fire pit and enjoy the truly private experience in this countryside retreat getaway. Enjoy your favorite beverage on the front porch and watch the Texas sky show off its orange, purple and red hues in its sunset or sit on the back porch and watch the Texas sunrise above the mesquite patch. The backyard offers a nice sitting area complete with a fire pit, BBQ, and plenty of seating and fenced backyard if you bring your fury friend with you.

You are within minutes from down town Wichita Falls, MSU, Lake Arrowhead, and Sheppard Air Force Base. Less than an hour drive to The Wichita Mountains and Lake Latonka in Lawton, OK if you feel like exploring nature. Whether you’re here for work or play our Little Mesquite Retreat offers you a private and welcoming place to stay. The Little Mesquite Retreat is suitable for families, dogs, couples, or anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Awesome property, exactly as advertised if not better. Very much enjoyed our stay here. Rubble came by and sat outside the fenced yard with our normally very high strung dog, and the two of them just chilled and watched the sunset. We had hoped to meet Miss Kitty and Festus, but we missed them...next visit hopefully. A very relaxing and enjoyable spot, close to what you need, but felt very private. Thank you!

This was our 2nd stay at this home. We love it! Dog friendly with a fully fenced backyard, no carpet or area rugs for dogs to mess up, very comfortable beds. Our go to home when we need a place to stay in Wichita Falls.

One of the cutest and warm feeling homes where I have stayed. Everything was very clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Ceiling fans in every room were appreciated for the airflow I love. Kitchen was roomy and had all utensils as well as matching dishes. Towels were fluffy and soft. Felt like I was at home. Unfortunately we were there for work so did not have time to enjoy the backyard and fire pit. Definitely will stay again next year if available.

Great experience!

We were in town for a scent work trial with our dogs. Michelle was a wonderful hostess and was gracious enough to add another day to our stay at the last minute when our plans changed. The fenced backyard was a lifesaver for our pups. It gave them a place to let loose and play after being cooped up in kennels at the trial all day. Will definitely stay again if we come back for another trial in the future.

Very clean, neat, & spacious. Owner provided some bottled water for drinking & cooking which was nice since the house is on well water. Well supplied kitchen for cooking which I did a lot of. Fenced backyard provided extra room for outdoor play for my preschooler grandkids & dogs soccer play. Extra supply of pillows, blankets & throws which we all appreciated for movie nights. Overall a pleasant place to stay & we hope to stay there again on another visit.

Absolutely Amazing Stay!When driving to the house you leave the highway and turn down a small road, and when you reach your turn you see the house at the end of the driveway, and it instantly feels like home! The host was incredible—super responsive to all of my questions and so thoughtful in every detail. The house was perfect for a quiet getaway. It was exactly as described (actually, even better!)—peaceful and private, yet only about 6 minutes from Walmart and just 10 minutes from the AFB.The home had everything we needed for a laid-back weekend: equipped with very clean and organized two bedrooms with comfy queen beds, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and a roomy fridge. It was spotless and so well-organized. The extra touches—from snacks to thoughtful amenities—made it feel like we were visiting family.We loved watching the sunrise from the back patio, grilling out, and relaxing outdoors. And of course, the highlight of our visit: meeting Mr. Rubbles, the adorable “farm protector” introduced in a sweet photo inside the home. He was happy to receive all the scratches we could give!If we visit our son again, this will definitely be our go-to place. The host truly thought of everything to make our stay feel like home. Highly recommend!
