Sunset Cottage #1 near beaches, golfing, trails, shopping and local attractions!

Sunset Cottages are located in Travellers Rest, Prince Edward Island, conveniently only minutes from downtown Summerside and Kensington for shopping, restaurants, taking in local events and music, and exploring historic attractions. PEI's renowned beautiful beaches, great golfing, walking and biking trails, and parks are only a short drive away.

We offer 3.5 star Canada Select rating accommodations in 2 spacious, luxury executive cottages with solid pine interiors. These fully-equipped, winterized units are available for rentals year-round. Both units are family-friendly and non-smoking but no pets are allowed.

Each housekeeping unit has 2 bedrooms with linens provided (unit #1: queen bed, queen bed / unit #2: queen bed, queen bed plus double bed), 1 full bathroom with towels, living room, dining table, a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher, plus a washer and dryer laundry closet. The units have electric heat, ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms, and an air conditioner for the main areas in summer.

Other amenities include a propane barbecue on the deck, flat-screen TV, WiFi, propane fireplace, and picnic tables, outdoor furniture, and children's playground equipment in the yard.

Peak Season Rates* (May 1st to Sep 30th):
$160.00/night (min. 3 nights‡), $980.00/week, and $3,000.26/month.

Off Season Rates* (Oct 1st to Apr 30th):
$135.00/night (min. 3 nights), $900.02/week, and $2,000.00/month.

(* Rates for 4 persons maximum. No pets allowed. Does not include $75 cleaning fee.)

(‡Note: There is a minimum 7-night stay required Sat through Sat. between Jul 1 & Aug 26, 2023 and Jun 29 & Aug 31, 2024.)

Located at PEI's narrowest spot, Summerside is considered the province's second city after the capital, Charlottetown. Quaint shopping districts, the famed Harbourfront Theatre, beautiful beaches and a variety of restaurants make Summerside worth a visit.

Centrally located, it makes a terrific base from which to explore PEI as it is a gateway to the western regions of the island, with both the Confederation Trail and North Cape Coastal Drive running through the area. The city celebrates its connections to the sea and Celtic and Acadian ancestry, and is home to the world-famous College of Piping.

An Excellent Place to Stay Near Summerside

I recently stayed with a friend of mine and we were amazed at how clean and spacious the interior of the cottage was and all of the amenities were in working order. The location was also excellent.

Love this Piece of Paradise

I stayed here for a month for my 3rd consecutive year! I had an elderly cousin stay for 7 nites which was not an issue for the owner! I love this place for its cleanliness and it’s central location to shopping entertainment & beaches! Nancy & Robert are wonderful folks and any questions you may have are answered promptly. Comfy & Cozy

Centrally located! This was my second stay and I just really enjoy everything about this little piece of paradise. The owners are very welcoming & the yard is beautiful with all its flowers & shrubs. The cottage was so clean & fresh with the inside wood walls and the floors just shining! Really well equipped and truly does have everything one needs! Nancy is very attentive and quick to respond to any questions or needs! Highly recommend Sunset Cottages!

Lovely weekend

The property is very nice…. Can be quite noisy at times because of the major highway but there is a line of large trees that help. The cottage was very clean, well stocked and Nancy is special. We had a great weekend!

The entire stay was delightful check in easy cabin cute cozy and clean. The owner was most accommodating eg coffee maker quite working Nancy replaced it the same day. Close to highway making travel easy. Highly recommend this site and owner has a very adorable dog

So great!

Good central location for touring the Island. The neighborhood is good. Unfortunately, a major highway runs along the back of the property making it noisy at night and early morning.

Perfect for us

I went to pei with my husband and 2 grown children This place was perfect fir us, a little home away from home The place was clean, close to summerside so we could visit family , kitchen fir quick breakfasts in morning . My son slept on the cot and said it was really comfortable Nancy was lovely as easy to reach when I needed to ask her something I would stay here again

Rental Dates should be perfectly clear`

Would have loved to have stayed in this place, but despite it being shown as available for the dates I needed, it actually is not available until May. Didn't help that I was in Summerside for 3 weeks in April. Found other accommodation instead.
