Bluehaven Cottage, Grand Bend, Ontario


BlueHaven is a second row cottage off Lake Huron in the community of Bayview, with a large treed-in property (1/2 acre) and private community beach access.
Includes a fully Equipped Kitchen, with a dishwasher.
Features include High Speed Wireless Internet and Amazon Prime Video, open concept feel, beautiful large yard, firepit, and sandy beaches nearby.

BlueHaven has three bedrooms, sleeping 7 in beds, and sleeps an addition two more people on a futon in a side living room (so sleeps 9 in total) and a pack'n'play for infants. Nice big open concept feel (not one of those tiny cramped places).

Mix of modern and antique furnishings, hardwood floors in main living area, large yard, fire pit, private back patio, enclosed breezeway entry, large garage, flat screen TV, Blu-ray player, movies, games, BBQ, fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker/microwave/toaster, dishes/cutlery, etc.

We love pets but they are not allowed inside - allergens/dander etc. However, we will allow outdoor pets and there is a large garage for them to sleep in.

Our community's private beach (three minute walk to the steps leading down to the beach) is very nice and is sandy, with a ridge of pebble for stone collecting.
Just 1 km North, at St. Joseph, there is a second nearby beach area where you can drive down and park at beach level for free, only a 3 minute drive.
The White Squirrel golf course is just across the highway from the cottage, within walking distance.
Also there a restaurant about a two minute walk from the cottage.
In St Joseph there is a variety store and a very large Mennonite furniture store.
The strip at Grand Bend is just 8 minutes to the south, as well as all the restaurants, harbours and shopping that Grand Bend has to offer.
The beautiful village of Bayfield with its harbours, restaurants and marinas is just 12 minutes north.

Great quick summer beach getaway

Loved the property. Was in great location between Grand Bend and Bayfield. Quick access to either and access to local private beach. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Will stay again.

Great location!

Everything was exactly as presented. Jeremy was great to communicate with. We all had a great time at the cottage, between the beaches and restaurants. Highly recommend going to the White Squirrel restaurant across the street during your stay.

Lovely cottage in a great location

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay in the cottage; we loved the open concept and home like feel! It was very clean and included all the amenities that we required including a well stocked kitchen and beautiful fire pit. The host, Jeremy, was easy to reach and provided helpful information in order to access the various beaches in the area. We definitely look forward to returning here for future summer getaways!

A lovely haven just 10 minutes north of Grand Bend

We really enjoyed our stay in BlueHaven cottage. It was quiet, easily accessible, beautifully decorated, and well appointed with everything we needed. The garden out front was beautiful & was one of the reasons I was drawn to this cottage - it provided a wonderful spot for my mother-in-law, who is an avid gardener herself, to sit and read. It was very handy to have a BBQ and a fire pit in the yard as well. Our whole family enjoyed the nearby beach, just a 3-minute drive away. The cottage owner, Jeremy, and his family were easy to deal with, helpful, and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

A great time at Bluehaven!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was very clean and had a lot of space. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfy and the cottage stayed nice and cool with the 2 AC units. WIFI was fast. The White Squirrel restaurant across the street was very good. We visited several beaches and they all were great. We liked that it was a short drive to either Bayfield or Grand Bend, where there are activities and shops. Golfed twice in Bayfield, played mini golf in Grand Bend, lots to do. What was we liked best was how helpful the hosts were - gave great instructions on where to find the cottage, find beaches, things to do, and were very responsive via text. Of all the vacation rentals we have done, these hosts were by far the best at communcation and help. Thanks for a great stay.

Beauty Spot

Very nice cottage Jeremy’s got on his hands here. It was a prime location for our 8 man golf trip at White Squirrel golf course. The owner is very nice and responsive, which made it easy for me to choose Bluehaven Cottage. Highly recommend this place!!

Great cottage

This was a great place to relax away from urban homes for myself and some friends. We especially enjoyed the campfire pit, bocce ball on the lawn, the proximity to Grand Bend beach and enough space for a group of 7 to fit comfortably. Thanks Jeremy!

Totally pleased!

The cottage was exactly as pictured in the listing. It was comfy and had all of the amenities that you could possibly want. Jeremy, the owner, was pleasant to deal with and responded to all inquiries in a timely manner. I would definitely rent this property again or any property owned by Jeremy if I were to return to visit this beautiful area.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because we fell in love with the Grand Bend and Bayfield areas - with so much to offer families on vacation!
Battling the same thing every other family with children faces as they get older; keeping the kids occupied with outdoor activities is a much greater alternative.
