Based on the reviews, photos, and initial communication regarding the fence, I was very disappointed upon arrival.Pros: The home was clean, with adequate furnishings, a spacious kitchen, large bedrooms, a generous dining area, and a large refrigerator with ample ice. Heating and cooling worked well, TV options were sufficient, nearby shopping and restaurants were convenient, and the weathered fence served its purpose.Cons: The property's maintenance was extremely poor. The grounds were overgrown and looked nothing like the photos. Outdoor furniture was worn, the firepit was rusted, patio cushions were missing, and an old,deflated basketball was left in the driveway. Inside, the back door handle repeatedly fell off, vents were rusty, wooden blinds were damaged, several lights were out, a ceiling fan did not work, a bedroom had a large water stain, and the primary bathroom's toilet paper holder was broken. The hall shower was also broken but promptly repaired after notifying the owner.Having rented vacation homes for years, my family and I have never encountered a property in this condition. We attempted to find other accommodations upon arrival, but limited options in this small town, particularly with our small dog, forced us to stay.The rental was significantly overpriced for its condition. I expect a vacation home to meet or exceed the standards of my own home, not fall far below them. These are only the major concerns among many others

Our family has grown too big (grandchildren, spouses, etc.) to all stay at Mom and Dad’s for the holidays. This year, the grandkids stayed with their grandparents and the adult kids & spouses stayed at this lovely VRBO. It was perfect for our needs. The house has plenty of rooms and gathering space and was comfortably appointed. It was too cold to take advantage of the outdoor space, but it looked very inviting. The host was very responsive and everything went smoothly. I’d recommend this house and host for anyone looking to stay in the area.

The house was very spacious and in a nice neighborhood. There were no hooks or towel bars….or toilet paper holders. It would have been nice to know that we needed to bring soap and shampoo. Otherwise very good communication.
