About this property

Renovated old stonemaid mountain house jet just 20 min from the beach

We are delighted to present to you a completely renovated original stone vacation and holiday house dating from 1904. This beautiful house is situated in the North Velebit Nature Park amidst its pristine and untouched nature. The house is approx. 750m above sea level and about 15 minutes away from the main roads, guaranteeing you a peaceful and totally tranquil holiday.
The house itself consists of two bedrooms and a loft, two bathrooms, tavern with a stone fireplace and an additional stone fireplace outside on the terrace.
You will be in total privacy as the house is in a small abandoned village. The nature though is breathtaking. All this though in a short reach from the sea and beaches (approx. 12 km), it is about half hour away from the island of Rab and one hour away from the island of Pag.
The power supply in the house is provided by Photovoltaic cells and is completely ecological and environmentally friendly. The water supply is a generous, but little limited to 4 cubic meters or 4000 liters, however, should you require more water during your stay this can be easily arranged at an additional cost.
At your arrival a welcome barbecue will be provided with local wine and meat and this is of course included in the price.
Once you decide to visit our mountain cottage and beautiful Velebit mountain, we will do our best that you wish to visit us again.

Sehr schönes kleines Häuschen, in den Bergen, in einer sehr ruhigen Lage. Die Gastgeber haben uns mit einem leckeren Abendessen empfangen. Das Haus war sauber und die Betten schon bezogen. Auch Toilettenpapier, Handtücher und Seife war schon vorhanden. Imner wieder gerne!

Urtümlich und naturnah

Das Haus befindet sich in einer Umgebung, die sich die Natur seit ca. 50 Jahren zurückerobert. Absolute Ruhe mit Ausnahme des Singens der Vögel, dem Knistern des Feuers und dem Brummen der Käfer. Gelegentliche Kontakte zu Spinnen lassen sich nicht ganz vermeiden, aber das ist eben Natur. Die technische Ausstattung entspricht in etwa einer Berghütte: Licht durch Solarzellen und Batterien (absolut ausreichend, auch zum Laden der Handies etc.). Warmwasser durch Sonne (ohne Sonne wird kalt geduscht). Kochen mit Gas oder Grill. Die Ausstattung entspricht im Juni 2017 exakt den Bildern. Sehr rustikal und liebevoll restauriertes Haus mit vielen schönen Details im Innenbereich.

Fantastic

If you love being alone in the mountains (but only 25 minutes from the sea), in the middle of an almost untouched and wild nature this place is for you ! The house is really beautiful, a lot of hard work have been done, but the result is stunning. And the owners, Sandra and Radovan are really kind, they 'll prepare for your arrival a great dinner... Don't miss that place, you won't regret it, it was easily our best time during our holidays in Croatia !

The house is only 15 km (15-20 minutes by car) from the beach, so after swimming in the sea, on hot summer days you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and sit by the fire.
