We are centrally located in the Historical Downtown Morehead District within walking distance of Big Rock, restaurants, and bars downtown. Locals call this neighborhood `The Promised Land`. We are 2 blocks away from the Intracoastal Waterway and you can see the water from our screened-in side patio. Newly installed central heat and AC installed in December 2024.
Our street is a charming historical street that is highly sought after by regular visitors of Morehead City. We are a block away from Shevans Park which is a great place for kids to play. Lots of sidewalks for walks & bikes. This home is near and dear to our family. It has been in the family for generations and we named it `Our Happy Place` for the joy and happiness that it has brought our family over the years. We know that you will love it too and build your own special family memories here. Our home has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The front door leads to the living room which you pass through to get to the dining area and then the kitchen followed by the laundry area and full bathroom. Off of the main area are the bedrooms. Next to the dining area is access to our screened-in side patio with views of the waterway as well as our grill. Coded door knobs allow personalized access codes for each guest. There are steps to get up to any of our doors but after the initial steps, our house is all one level. `Our Happy Place` is conveniently located in the historic district of Morehead City. We are one block from Shevans Park. We are located on Shephard Street and are 2 blocks away from the Intracoastal Waterway. You can get a glimpse of the water from our side, screened-in patio. *Please note* Although we have a relaxed cancellation policy, we still incur the 4% cc fee. Your refund will be in full, minus the 4% cc fee.

House was very clean. Comfy bed, quality linens. Well stocked kitchen. Excellent location for walking into Morehead City. Only concern was home had a musty smell - owner notified.

We fished in the KWLA this past weekend and this sweet little home was just perfect. A great location within walking distance of the water front, super clean, and very spacious. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and accommodated our every need. We will definitely be back!

A group of friends from work came down to fish and needed a place all 6 of us could sleep and not have to share beds! This house was perfect. It was clean, comfortable and walking distance to the waterfront restaurants and bars. Communication with the owners was great and the check in/check out process could not have been any easier. The highlight of the house is the front porch. We'll definitely stay here again.
