We enjoyed our stay. It was great and convenient for our family of 7. Everything was clean and as described in the listing. It was nice and close to everything. Communication with the owners was quick and helpful.

Our family stayed at this historical property during an overnight visit to St. Louis. Overall, our experience was positive. The beds were clean and comfortable, which was our main requirement. However, upon entering the property we were disappointed to find that the online photos were not a true representation of the state of the property. Several holes in the walls were evident immediately that were not disclosed, and overall the property showed signs of wear and tear that the listing photos did not indicate. The owner was very responsive to questions and we would still recommend the property, but the experience would have been better if the property was more maintained.
Overall an effective property. It was great to have 4 beds, the location is great for events and activities, and it was an overall comfortable stay. Cool old house, but showed its signs of wear and tear. Instructions from owner were very clear, but communication over multiple platforms and check-in hoops to jump through were a little frustrating. It’s a house that gets the job done in an efficient manner, but you won’t find many extras.
Charming Brownstone with Character – Clean & Comfortable Stay
Stayed at this old brownstone in St. Louis and found it to be a solid choice. The place had plenty of character, with its historic charm still intact. It was clean and well-maintained, though a bit on the spartan side—functional but not overly cozy. That said, everything was adequate for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive, which made the experience hassle-free. Overall, a great option for those who appreciate a bit of history and simplicity in their accommodations.

It’s Okay
Overall it was okay. Had to contact owners to get towels & washcloths. The cleaning crew was still inside when we showed up at 5pm, an hour after we could check in. Pictures on VRBO are accurate but the hall and a few walls not shown have small but decent size holes in them. The blinds in the living room & front door need to be replaced to make it look nicer & stay more private for renters. Check in was easy, communication was decent, parking gets full at night but you can still find somewhere to park. All in all it was an okay stay. We didn’t use the kitchen but it looked like most anything you needed was available. Only other thing is there are people upstairs & they had a party so it was a little disruptive to us downstairs trying to go to bed. Probably try a different place next time.
We had a fantastic stay here! The property was the perfect size for our group of four adults, offering plenty of space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The neighborhood was wonderfully quiet, making it easy to get a good night's rest. One of the best parts was the location—almost everything we wanted to do was within a 15-minute drive! From amazing restaurants to fun attractions, we loved how convenient it was to get around. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a cozy and centrally located place to stay in St. Louis, this is it! Highly recommended.P.S. there's some great restaurants in the neighboring Soulard community!
I stayed at this property listed before, and therefore I felt comfortable booking this property again. The host is very responsive, and the consistency in the condition of the property is proof that you cannot go wrong by choosing this spot. Contrary to belief, lightning can strike twice in the same place.
Cheers!
