We loved this house. My 85 year old mother definitely took advantage of the elevator. We walked down to the ocean twice a day. The sunsets were beautiful. The views were incredible. We will be back. Thank you for an amazing stay.

The Beach House

We had such a lovely stay at the beach house. It was immaculate and sparkling clean. Had stunning views of the ocean and was right off of a beautiful walking trail. Celi and Cathy were exceptional hosts and extraordinary in their response time and kindness. We would love to stay again.

Luxurious Stay in a Luxury Home

The house was perfect for our family gathering. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms and common areas beautifully appointed, and there were games and puzzles to keep us busy during down time. The house is also very dog friendly. Not only was there a fenced in back yard, but there was a dog bed and toys to keep our pooch entertained. We also enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the beauty of the setting. It was an ideal location!

We had a WONDERFUL time!! Beautiful and spacious home, in a quiet and safe area. Everything and anything you need is readily available at the home. Immediate access to a walking path that leads to multiple beaches. We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather, beautiful sunsets enjoyed from the lovely back yard and we really appreciated all the special touches, such as a complementary bottle of wine and yummy snacks! We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!! Thanks again! Maggie

Our host (Cathy) was very timely and informative about when we could check in and how to check in. The inventory of all of the dishware (glasses, plates, bowls, etc...) was very organized and helpful. The elevator was put to good use when checking in and checking out. The proximity to the beach made it very easy to get to the beach and walking trail along the beach. The house was located in a very prime spot with a short driving distance to local restaurants and shops. The views from many rooms in the house were spectacular. The new bbq was put to good use for dinners and the fire pit was used when sitting outside. Overall, our group had an amazing experience and we will look forward for another visit sometime this year. Thank you!

Perfect vacation home

Our family had the pleasure of staying here for a week over Christmas. Cathy was very accommodating, responding quickly to messages and being flexible about check in times—she even put up a Christmas tree for us!The house was perfectly situated in HMB, right next to a trail with a short walk to the beach, and also had great views of the ocean. It was very spacious, and well stocked with anything you’d need, including cooling supplies, beach equipment, a great fenced backyard with wood for a fire, and more. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a coastal getaway!

Surprise 60th Birthday Celebration

We spent 2 glorious nights in this lovely beach house celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday with family. It was a surprise party for him, and it all worked out! From beginning to end, it was amazing to work with Cathy and Celi. They were professional, easy to work with, and were so thoughtful! We plan to return!

We had a great time here! It was fun to watch the sunsets and to enjoy the backyard wood fire. The beach was a short walk, and this place has the best Welcome Book. It is well stocked and labeled. Everything we needed for Sunday brunch was there. Beach amenities were plentiful, like two beach cruisers and helmets, beach umbrella, 2 kites, foot rinse station, much more. Host quickly answered any questions, there was no need for a lot of questions. Our large family spent a lot of time chatting on the balcony and in the living room while looking at the ocean.Half Moon Bay Brewing on Capistrano Road accommodated our group easily on a summer Friday night, good selection of beers and food. Cameron's Pub was a fun Saturday night dinner with a wide selection of food for everyone and an English double decker bus. Best outings were the Purisima Creek Trail along a creek under towering redwood trees and the Francis Beach Visitor Center, 1 mile south on the paved beach trail or walk the beach. Filoli House and gardens was interesting.

We've stayed in a few VRBOs, and the descriptions and photos are usually not exactly what we find when we get there. This one is our favorite! Its location is excellent, and the home is wonderfully well-equipped. The town of Half Moon Bay is worth several visits, with good restaurants and shops. The rate was higher than we've paid before, but we had room for our family, and you get what you pay for! We are ready to come back tomorrow!
