PLEASE BE ADVISED:
THE RESORT WILL BE REPLACING LANAI RAILINGS BEGINNING JANUARY 2022.
Work will be from 8am-6pm Monday thru Friday with noisy work limited to 9am-5pm.
Noise could be heard depending on the area where work is occurring. Our condo has been completed and is available for guests. Weather and other factors affect the work schedule for the project so condo work dates are subject to change.


State of Hawaii has implemented less restrictions for guests. Please inquire.

This beautiful 9th floor penthouse two bedroom/two bathroom condo has a beautifully renovated kitchen with updated cabinets and granite counters. Both bathrooms have been recently remodeled with granite vanity tops and granite shower enclosures. The fully equipped kitchen includes full sized appliances: refrigerator, oven, dishwasher and microwave. This kitchen also has a spacious pantry to store all your groceries. All dishes, utensils and small appliances are provided.

You will enjoy morning coffee or evening sunsets from the condo's spacious ocean view lanai complete with table and chairs. You might also see the whales from the lanai during whale season on Maui, which is from December through March.
The spacious master suite has a fantastic ocean view and a large dressing area. The second bedroom has twin beds and a full sized closet. The condo sleeps 6 comfortably with a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. New flat screen TV's in both bedrooms along with the flat screen TV in the living room.

Aston Kaanapali Beach Resort is located on one of west Maui's most popular beaches. Fantastic views of both islands of Lanai and Molokai plus all the fantastic beach activities make this a perfect vacation destination. The resort offers many amenities/activities including two swimming pools, two hot tubs, beach club restaurant and bar, beauty shop, tennis courts, shuffleboard, massages and gym. The lush tropical landscaping also provides a beautiful backdrop for strolling to the beach or restaurant.

Whale season on Maui starts in December and lasts through March. You will see whales from your lanai and right off the beach at this resort. You are also close to Lahaina Harbor where many whale watch excursions are available to offer a closer look at these magnificent mammals.

Across the street from the resort is a shopping center with a grocery store, restaurants and gift/apparel shops. The resort is close to golf courses and shopping in Lahaina and Whaler's Village. You will find more great restaurants, exciting beaches and the famous Kapalua golf course if you take a short drive north from the resort.

Maui offers many wonderful sightseeing and hiking adventures. Plan a trip to the top of the volcano Haleakala to see breathtaking views of the crater at sunrise, or hike I'Ao Needle park area for a look at the lush landscape where Hawaiians once lived. Also popular is the drive to Hana where fantastic sightseeing and hiking areas will lead you to the beautiful Seven Pools.

This is truly a fabulous place to base your Maui vacation. The resort offers everything for a wonderful stay, and also offers you easy access to explore the exciting, beautiful island of Maui on your visit.

What a lovely resort to stay at! We really enjoyed the pools and garden areas of the the grounds. Just wonderful. The view from the lanai is fantastic. Owners were very responsive and excellent to communicate with.

Great family condo!

The condo was as described. Melanie was a responsive host. The sliding door is broken and things are dated, but it is great. Fantastic for the price! If we return to Maui, I would rent it again for sure!

Kaanapali Shores

The resort is very nice. We have stayed 4 other times. The restaurant was excellent. But the condo was not representative correctly. The master bed ( king) was well past it life expectancy. The popcorn ceiling above the bed had dust hanging. I had my husband clean it before we could sleep. The bathroom ceiling panels was full of dead bugs. The rugs need to be replaced. We called for maintenance because the air conditioning was not working. The panel for the air conditioning unit was taken off the wall and maintenance said the valve was turned off. Suspicious!! I have taken pictures if u would like to view them. I feel we overpaid for this accommodation.

We always want to provide our guests with the best experience while staying with us. We always work to correct any issues that our guests find when staying with us. Had we been notified that any details needed attention we would have responded quickly. The bathroom ceiling is cleaned often but Hawaii is tropical and bugs are always present especially if lanai doors are not shut so the cleaning is done as needed. The resort is responsible for air conditioner issues and the panel allows access to the unit for repair/restart issues. As owners we are not permitted to remove the panel, and of course guests would not be allowed either. The A/C can require a reset due to issues that are related to the unit and its operation. Nothing suspicious and the A/C would never be turned off purposely. Thank you for your comments about the master bed. We will check out the condition as we have not received other comments about it not meeting expectations.

Great Maui Location

We changed our rental last minute and are so happy we did! This resort was great. My teens loved the pool area. The grounds were beautiful with a small walking path and great sunset views. The beach area was usable though we drove to other locations. There is a grocery store across the street and a Food truck park near the front entrance to the property. No issues with parking, plenty of spots, and the garage parking was convenient for this unit. Note since this is a private residence the hotel is not helpful--for example they refused to let us use a luggage trolley to get our drinks and groceries upstairs. You can use the pool towels which surprisingly were nice thick towels. You can also rent boogie boards, surf boards, and snorkel gear at reasonable prices. The unit had a medium cooler which is enough to hold drinks and backpack beach chairs. The kitchen was well appropriated. Lanai for the unit has been updated and the noise was minimal from other buildings being done. The unit was very clean, unsure of previous bug complaints. The beds were comfortable though could use some newer pillows. The only negative was the comfort of the sofa bed for my 21 yo but he choose to just sleep on the couch. The views are fantastic from the balcony and you could even see whales and enjoy the sunset--I wish I could include photos from daytime, sunset, and night. Melanie was great to work with and we would definitely stay again. Note--no items left in the fridge so plan to buy condiments, and some spices in the pantry, and there is an ice maker. Questions I asked--yes there are hairdryers, and yes there is a washer/dryer unit (so helpful), also note there is one box fan and black-out curtains. Wonderful trip!

Perfect vacation experience!

Loved the ocean view from the penthouse suite and looking over the beautiful grounds and pools from our lanai. Our host, Melanie, called prior to our arrival and was very communicative and accommodating. The location was close to Lahaina. We used Uber at first but learned to use the bus which was more economical. The concierge was very helpful and the gift shop reasonably priced. We would definitely go there again!

Beautiful resort with lots of neat things

This resort is gorgeous and so fun. They do lots of cool things during the week to make it so special. The condo is awesome, on the top floor which is the penthouse floor. The view is amazing and everything you need is here. The restaurant is really good. We ate there 3 times! They have Prime Rib Thursday which is yummy. Everything we got there was delicious. The food carts next door are also great. The best part of this place though is the cool birds. I am not really a bird person but every night at sunset they all line up on the top of the buildings and swoop down into the trees to sleep. They are so loud and talkative to each other. It was the highlight of my night all 8 nights! New renovated pool is awesome. Melanie is super nice and easy to work with. Will stay here again, I hope soon,

Good property, intrusive manager

The location is very good and the condo and the community itself also good. Beautiful pool and grounds. However, we would not rent this particular condo again. The manager was very intrusive regarding the information required for all occupants. The manager demanded all occupants full names and contact information. We did not experience this at any of the other condos we rented during this time. In addition, after first entering, we noted what appeared to be a security camera mounted in the upper corner near the sliding door to the lanai. We were shocked, as there was no mention of this camera in the property info or rental agreement. We immediately covered the camera, as we had no way of knowing whether or not it was active.

Steve, At time of booking our condo you did not mention any concern about providing names and cell phone # for all adults staying in our condo. As stated at booking, the information was required if I needed to contact any member for any issue. This also would comply with my responsibility for COVID contact tracing or quarantine for Maui County Health Regulatioins. At time of booking you made no mention of this being "instrusive." If it was a problem for you then, you could have canceled the reservation and not provided the requested information. The issue of the "camera" was fully explained to you including an email from the Facilities manager at Aston Kaanapali Shores that I forwarded to you which identified the "camera" is the device that transmits the signal to the A/C that lanai doors are closed and the A/C will turn on. All condos at this resort have this device. Instead of asking me about it so it could have been immediately cleared, you assumed the worst case and then hit me with this false accusation. And then you refused to correct the error in your review. Please do not contact me again for any rentals in the future.

We loved our spacious flat. Everything was as described. There were five of us and we fitted perfectly. It is a nice hotel with two pools. The kids especially enjoyed the pool with the colored lights. We would definitely stay there again.

The resort is really nice and in a great location. This unit is a bit dated. It has a few little quirky things that you have to deal with. The lighting in the unit is a bit dark. The bed in the master was super comfy. We had 5 people in this unit and it felt a little small.

Home away from home

Great location, close to amenities, less congested than other resorts in the area. Condo very spacious, comfortable, nice view from the balcony. Owners wonderful to work with, answer questions immediately, supply the condo with many extras, we felt safe and happy at all times.
