Stylish 2-bedroom air-conditioned apartment with communal pools, near the beach

Highly desirable, 2-bed air-conditioned apartment with modern furnishings and contemporary feel. You can click on the experience at http://flashtours.i-spy360.com/html5/agent/842/july2020/vt-encosta-sao-joao-tour.html. The communal pools, children's playground and barbecue area make it a perfect resort for the family holiday. The pools are gated for children’s safety and protection. The apartment has a private balcony overlooking Vale of Parra. The lounge contains two 2-seater settees, LCD TV, DVD player and DVDs. The bedrooms comprise a double and 2 single beds, with built-in wardrobes, one being en suite. There is secure parking for one car in the underground parking. The apartment is very close to Guia’s popular beaches, and a 10 minute car ride from the famous Algarve Shopping Centre and adjacent Designer Outlets. Other nearby attractions include Zoomarine, and Aqualand waterpark just a short drive from the apartment. A free Meet-and-Greet service is available, and if required, transport can be booked to take you direct to and from the apartment.
Wifi (Free) is now installed, providing more TV channels, and a modem to allow you look at the internet and download e-mails and WhatsApp messages. Portuguese channels are also available. A local Portuguese stereo radio system is built into each bedroom and the lounge. For keen shoppers, the nearby Algarve shopping centre, and the Aqua Centre in Portimao off the n125 (40 minutes away by car), are a must for ladies: Mango, Bershka, Primark, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear etc. A new Centre, Mar Shopping opened a few years ago in Loulé next to the Ikea outlet. It also features many popular retail outlets, and restaurants

Great family stay for 4

This is a really great property, located in a nice quiet area with a great pool and close to the beach and a variety of shops and safe parking. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. We also had the pleasure of meeting Derek the owner when we bumped into him into the underground car park. WiFi is good and it's nice to have a washing and drying machine and dishwasher too.

perfect holiday

Nice appartment with private parking under the appartment. nice swinmmingpool to cool off and nice beds to lay on in the sun. 2 bathrooms were nice because we were there with 2 couples. Only the bed was very hard, but it slept well.

The apartment is large and well looked after. There were ample cooking utensils, saucepans etc for self catering. The complex has 2 lovely pools and they weren't super busy at all.

Perfect accomodation as a base

We had everything we wanted in our apartment. As I have walking difficulties, we needed to get taxies most days. Although the pool area was lovely, if you just want to relax. We loved Gale Beach, which was only 5 minutes in a taxi. Some beautiful restaurants nearby too. Very friendly people everywhere we went. Not a lot in the immediate viccinity but suited us. Nice comfy beds too

Great apartment catering for 5 people with communal pool and a few cafes and restaurants close by. About 17mins by car to Albuferia and 5 mins by car to local beach. Secure parking. No gym as described. Nice and clean. Has Netflix and Prime TV. Balcony has view of main road but still nice and sunny to dry your towels and for what we paid it was great. Air con throughout. Dishwasher, full freezer and washing machine.

L'appartement est très bien ,propre et très grand l'emplacement est idéal on est à proximité de la plage 10 minutes en voiture centre commercial 15 minutes les restaurants sont juste à côté vous pouvez y aller à pied le contact avec le propriétaire et parfait il est à votre écoute du début à la fin du séjour la seule chose qui dérange un peu c'est qu'il y a un côté de l'appartement qui est du côté d'une route très passante sinon pour le reste c'est parfait encore un grand merci au propriétaire

Excelente localização. Adoramos o espaço da piscina e o facto de ter um parque infantil. O facto de ter parque de estacionamento subterrâneo foi muito bom e com um excelente e rápido acesso ao apartamento. Amabilidade do gestor da casa em nos ceder um berço. Pontos a melhorar: o apartamento precisa de uma limpeza mais aprofundada (maior e melhor atenção ao detalhe e de uma melhor organização dos utensílios nos armários.

Nous avions prévenu que nous arrivons en retard car il y avait un accident sur la route et que nous allions avoir 40 minutes de retard.Mais cela n’a pas du tout plus à la personne qui était en charge de notre accueil. Il était trop occupé et ne pouvez pas se permettre d’accueillir des personnes en retard. Malgré cet accueil nous avons passé un bon séjour. Logement en adéquation avec l’annonce

Absolutely perfect for us!!

From start to finish the communication with Derek (owner) and Terry (manager in Portugal) was brilliant; full of advice and answered every question we asked. We were able to check in early as the family before us left the day before so that was brilliant. The property itself was just perfect for our family (of 2 adults and 2 small children) not just in size but facilities too. Having the extra bathroom was great. The kitchen had all the accessories you would need and there was even basics left there such as cooking oil and washing up liquid, even coffee and tea!! The gated pool and play area are metres from your front door which we found great and the kids loved it. The pool was amazing for small children as one is only shallow and my youngest could go in without armbands (under constant supervision!!) and his confidence grew as a result. The larger pool was great for diving, playing and had plenty if room even when it got busier around mid afternoon. Both were immaculately clean as were the grounds. The front door is extremely secure having a 4 bolt lock so you can feel super safe being on the ground floor. The back is more first floor due the ground being on a hill and was super secure too. The safe is a good bonus. I was at peace with everything and never needed anything more. There's a coffee and pastry shop just down the stairs at the back of the grounds which does beautiful coffee. We got takeaway cups for round the pool. There is an Aldi 250m from the back also. We used Uber as a preference over the cab office just by the pastry shop although they were great when we did use them in the first 2 days but Uber were alot cheaper and arrived within 3 minutes usually. The closest beaches (Galé and Salgados) were beautiful, clean and we always found a good spot with plenty of eateries in reach. We would be happy to return anytime!!!

Fantastic Location

We enjoyed our stay. The location was super, very close to most of the interesting places like the Marina Albufeira, Zoo marine and Lagoa was closeby by car. I would recommend the waterpacks in Lagoa, the kids had lots of fun there. This are is close to beautiful beaches.

Not quite luxury. Construction work in the complex.

Is is advertised as a luxury 2 bedroom apartment. This is why I think it isn't luxury. - Only 3 of the 4 rings on the hob worked. - The one external shutter, did not go fully up, so every time you went to the balcony, you had to duck. - Is bathrooms were not as clean as they could be, (everywhere else was fine) - For me the beds were hard and very creaky, I had a bad back most morning's (Other people might like a hard bed, just not me) Now for the good points - The kitchen was well equipped (even had, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, oil etc.) - A good choice of TV channels - You own underground parking space - 25 minute walk to the beach (Gale beach was our favourite) - a great pool, though it was a little cold in October. - Cabanitas bar opposite Our general overview. The apartment was a little noisy, as it is near a busy road junction, but most of the noise came from the complex itself as there was construction work going on for 5 days out of our 7 night stay (they only stopped at the weekend). Jack-hammers were going off from 8AM to 5PM most days. I do realise that this work had to be done, but I am sure they would have given the owners plenty of notice and we should have been informed before we travelled, NOT when we arrived. I am certain that I would have given it a higher rating, if the construction work wasn't happening, but from the state the site was in when we left (18/10/18), I would say there is another couple of weeks work, but maybe less noisy. We still had a great holiday, but it could have been so much better.

We have been travelling to the Algarve for 30 years, and so when an opportunity came to purchase an apartment near the sea and shops I jumped at the chance! It has proved a super investment and not only do we rent it out but use it ourselves several times a year.

Why they chose this property

Many of our clients are returning to this property year after year, as they love the Vale de Parra/Guia region, and feel comfortable inside the apartment. Now we have an excellent TV package and WiFi from MEO installed so clients can access the internet, download e-mails and look at their whatsapp messages! Our representatives, Terry and Celia live nearby, look after the apartment for us, and are available should any problems arise during your stay
