Our time in Wilmington was short so we are thankful that the home met all of our needs. The kitchen was beautiful and the home was beautifully decorated.

My family and I (grandparents with grown children and grandchildren) stayed for a long weekend 07/25. The location of this property is in a very nice area of the historic district and within walking distance of the Riverfront shopping and restaurants. The house itself was clean and had ample space. As others have stated, it is an older home and has a profound musty smell (would consider having the ducting cleaned out). The owners have several items for the kids, i.e., a crib in 1 of the bedrooms, 2 baby gates, and a basket of toys. There were a couple of downsides. First, the driveway parking is NARROW. Ideally, the shrubs near the house should be cut down or cut back. One of our 2 vehicles could not open the driver’s side doors and had to crawl out of the passenger doors. Second, the overall upkeep of the landscaping and yard left little to be desired. We could not use the back patio area at all, as it was overgrown with climbing trees and tall grass/weeds. Overall, we would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a rental in Wilmington!
We went to visit family in the local area and this property was close by. The house is charming, nicely decorated, and spacious with onsite parking for 2 cars (not really three as advertised and there are some street parking restrictions which made having 3 cars a little harder). The house was built in the 1920s and, having a mother who lives in a historic property nearby, we know you sometimes get funky things in older houses (read: sloping floors, older stuff, etc.), but we were not prepared for the musty odor that permeated the house (my brother said it reminded me of our grandfather's old house that sat on a creek and was in bad shape), and some of the softer furniture (like the black sofa in the sitting/tv room on the 1st floor). There was also a closest off of that same tv room that smelled terrible - like a wet dog or wet dog carpet that was in there rotting or something, and the upstairs shower curtain really needed to be cleaned or replaced. So, while things can be overlooked, it was was hard to escape the smell. So --- be mindful. I have no idea of the source and really don't want to cast dispersions, but it was bit much to overlook. Other than that, I would recommend this house because it charming, a great location, spacious and comfortable.
