Get ready to relax in this terrific 1-bedroom hotel in Hubbard Lake. This cozy retreat features 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed, perfect for a small group of guests. With WiFi and AC available, you'll stay connected and comfortable throughout your stay. Make your holiday one for the books with a stay at our place.
This is a family resort that has been in our family for over 65 years. It is 2.5 acres of beautiful property on the West Shore of Hubbard Lake. There is plenty of beaching area by the water along with a large back area that can house large party tents, set up volley ball net or other games (not included on property). There are pontoon(s), kayak and paddle board(s) rentals available. This hotel sits at the back of the property but has access to all the lake fun.

The cozy one bedroom hotel turned out to be a windowless closet. Because we objected so strongly to the host he was able to put us into a cottage since we were only staying for the one night. The cottage was acceptable except for the bed ..the picture on the website was not the room they were going to give us. Check-in said tell them you’re renting the front living room . There was just enough room for the bed and the toilet squeezed between two walls.

Checking in was a little difficult since I arrived late and it was already dark. There wasn’t a clear indication of where I needed to go, but the host referred me to Jeff, who was fantastic. He was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area — he alone deserves a star! The stay itself was okay. The area was beautiful, and the community was very friendly. The place has a lot of potential, but I think it could really benefit from a deep clean and some minor renovations. When I first walked in, the space was noticeably musty and humid. Opening the windows on a sunny day helped a lot. My biggest issue, however, was the spiders. They were mostly hanging out in the corners, but unfortunately, that included having a few unexpected local companions in the shower. The sheets and pillows also definitely need to be replaced. Overall, I think this place has serious potential. Updating the furniture, replacing the bedding with fresh white sheets, and downsizing the extra bed would make a huge difference. That said, if you’re planning to spend most of your time outdoors and just need a basic, affordable place to have a roof over your head, this is a solid option. The area is beautiful, the community is friendly, and you really can’t beat the price.

Never received check in informarion from host. VRBO couldnt get in touch with them. Had to have VRBO cancel booking and make other last minute arrangements.

I wish I could give a better overall review of the property, for it has great potential! If it weren't for the inability to check in, I'd rate it even higher. Though I believe in giving fair and honest reviews, without just complaining.The Good: The property outside is lovely and is right on the lake! Couldn't ask for a better location. They allow pets which is also great!I had been in communication on VRBO several times leading up to the stay with general questions. I'd talked to them 2 days before arrival. Then I'd even let them know that I was 20min out before arriving, just so we could avoid any issues and infer about the check in process. Received no reply.The Bad: Got to the property at 6:15pm (over 2hrs past check-in) and there was no one there to check me in. I called the contact that was given on VRBO and it was not the host, but a neighbor who helps with the property. She walked over and showed me to my room which had not yet been cleaned from the last person who had stayed. She then went and found the host by the water for me. I was offered another option, but when he opened that room, it was already (unknowingly) occupied . He asked if I could come back in less than an hour and he'd clean it. At first, standing in the dirty room with the smell of mildew, I was apprehensive, though said yes.Having already traveled 4 hours with my wife, young daughter, and old dog...we came back an hour later to check in at 7:15pm. We stayed our 4 nights and I give 4 stars.
