Beautiful Home

The views in the home were absolutely amazing from every window or location! Great place to stay for all ages, adults and kids were entertained. This home had more supplies and helpful instructions than any other Vrbo home we have stayed at. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great house for 2 family mountain getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. VERY well-stocked and organized house, nice gathering areas for our two families, nice to have the hot tub and fire pit (and kids loved the s'more fixings!). It was decorated nicely for Christmas so had a nice festive atmosphere. Great communication with the host. Highly recommend.

Summer Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The house was exactly what we were looking for, a beautiful view, near to the Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, and Granby Ranch. I really enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch looking out over the mountains, but a close second was winding down in the hot tub in the evening with the family.

Cabin with every amenity!

This was a well appointed cabin with every detail thought through. From the heated pads leading to the hot tub, kitchen equipped with cooking oils, to fully stocked bathrooms my group was well taken care of. The host is extremely responsive and communicative. Everyone who joined wants to return again!

Excellent Accommodations

Highland Haus was more than we expected. The location allows for great views and privacy while still being close enough to towns for all our needs. RMNP is a short drive away and we were able to visit the park multiple days. The cabin is well stocked and very clean. We would highly recommend this home to anyone.

Home Away from Home

I cannot recommend Highlands Haus enough! We had the most wonderful time and felt extremely comfortable. Christina made sure the house was fully equipped with anything and everything you could need on your trip. She really thought of everything! It was great for adults and children. The basement is like an entire separate living space which is great for multiple families staying together. The view from the deck was beautiful and peaceful. The house is far enough away that you get to enjoy nature but still close to all of the activities nearby. We were able to visit Winter Park, Fraser, Granby and Rocky Mountain National Park among many other locations. The home was in a good central location for exploring. There really was nothing negative about staying here. If you're looking for a central location fully equipped with everything you need, you've found it. I would recommend this to anyone and the kids are already asking when we will be back to visit again. Check in and check out were extremely easy and the host was very responsive to questions.

Second visit and it’s still a great place with wonderful host

This was our second visit and the house was even better than last year! We were so lucky to see 3 Moose move through the property! Mule deer and fawns grazed daily. The wild life was amazing. The house was comfortable throughout the temperature changes, 35 degrees in the morning and 85 during the day. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were up to date and spotless! The kitchen was easy to prepare meals when we didn’t want to eat out in the area great restaurants. Thank you Christina!

First rate experience - 10 star rating if I could!

Christina is a wonderful and thoughtful host and her property is even more amazing in person than the pictures can describe. The house has beautiful views, is easy to access (even in winter), and is beautifully furnished with high quality furnishings, bedding, kitchen appliances and pots and pans. A great deal of thoughtfulness has gone into making sure everything you could possibly want or need is there and available. It's setup very well with basically two living spaces and worked well for grandparents upstairs and a young family downstairs. We've stayed in many rental properties over the years and Highland Haus was by far the best experience ever. We will not hesitate to stay here again, when we are in the area.

About the host

Hosted by Christina

Host profile image
Hi! My name is Christina and I've lived in the Denver Metro Area since 2009. My husband Tim and I have loved having the opportunity to raise our 2 children here in Parker, Colorado. Both of our kids learned to ski in Winter Park and I remember us saying how amazing it would be to own a home in the mountains one day. We had the opportunity to make that dream a reality in 2020 when we purchased Highlands Haus - then a 2 BR/1BA home with an unfinished basement. We have put lots of love and elbow grease into making it a space that we are proud to share with you. Now with our oldest off at college and our youngest only a couple years from flying the nest, we enjoy spoiling our dogs, Gracie and Papi. We love having adventures in Grand County but also find The Haus a place of pure relaxation and the perfect escape from the high energy of day to day of life. One of my favorite sayings is "The Mountains are Calling and I must Go" and I can say there truly is something about the majesty of the Rocky Mountains that draws you to them. We are so happy to be able to share our home and we look forward to hosting you!
