Perched on beautiful wooded grounds, Sierra Gold Home invites a picturesque mountain getaway. This luxurious, custom-built home is located in the Big Springs area of Northstar Resort, accommodates 8 guests, and boasts 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 2 half baths, and over 3,500 square feet of living space. After days exploring the ski runs, hiking trails, or enchanting blue waters of Lake Tahoe, guests will love unwinding by the crackling fireplace or stargazing on the secluded back patio.

Stunningly crafted with wood and stone, this 2-story home offers the feeling of a cozy mountain lodge from the moment guests arrive. For convenience, a washer and dryer are near the garage.

Parking for 1 car in the garage and 2 in the driveway makes it easy to explore the area. For ski access, the nearest ski lifts are a 5-minute drive away at The Village at Northstar. Guests can also take advantage of the Northstar Shuttle Service.

Overall very nice experience! Check-in and check-out were super easy. The only reason we've given it a 4-star and not a 5-star rating is that we really could have used the pull-out sofa bed, but it was totally broken. So my son had to sleep on the couch. (He didn't mind too much.) Also, I was looking forward to using the fireplace in the primary suite, but could not find any way of actually turning it on. So, that was a bummer. In general, the place is comfortable and beautiful and in a great location! The shuttle to Northstar was awesome! We'd return.

Great location and a lot of space!

3 couples and two friends stayed here. Ton of space. A easy 5-10min walk to the village. Amenities worked well. Would stay here again!

Ski week near Northstar

We normally stay in the Village @ Northstar, but found this house available and wanted to give it a try since it would afford us more space. Very nice house, clean, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. You have access to the Northstar shuttle which is very convenient. They pick you up right in front of the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful house

Great big beautifully decorated and very comfortable house. We had a large party and had plenty of space for all of us. What was extra special was each bedroom had their own bathroom. My family and I enjoyed this 4 bedroom/4.5 bathroom luxury cabin near Northstar. However, the furnishings are out of date and need fixing/replacing.

Great home for multiple families. Bedrooms are spread out and loads of space. Great location on shuttle route to the village. Property management was very responsive and came out promptly to handle chirping smoke detector for us. Would love to return.

Perfect for a large group

Beautiful house in Northstar neighborhood. Really nice to spread out with 4 separate bedroom/bath areas. Plus 2 half baths! And enjoy time together in the large shared areas. Back patio was great. Overall clean and management was responsive. Note to please clean the dog hair out of the first floor air intake vent and fix first floor suite sink drain. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely home for 2 families to share, great game room

Great home in the Northstar area. Four bedrooms, one with a set of two twin beds and an awesome game room where games of pool were played. Have access to the Northstar rec center which has a $10 per person entry for big pool, multiple jacuzzis, arcade, pickleball, more. This property is aging (broken front steps, hole in the wall in the game room, walls have stains) in case that bothers anyone.

Well-designed home w/ amazing great room and patio

Our group was 5 adults and a dog. We would stay here again. We liked that the rooms were all in separate corners and had en suite bathrooms. Excellent privacy. We also liked how all of the rooms centered off of a great room with open spaces kitchen, dining table and living room. It made for a casual and comfortable gathering space. Our favorite was the patio - when you sat there you could not see any other homes. It gave a great sense of privacy and seclusion even though there were houses all around.

Great Northstar home!!!

The house and location was fabulous for our trip to Tahoe. We had a big family gathering and everything was fantastic. We did have concerns how the home slept 12 since the pull out sofa was broken. But we eventually found the blow-up beds in the closets. Other than that everything was great for the entire family!! Thank you! Jennifer

A great house for a crowd

This house was perfect for a reunion of friends and our families. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was equipped for cooking, here was plenty of space for kids to play and it was clean and updated. We would all return. (But next time, we will bring our own wine opener since we couldn't find one and plenty of bug spray.) We got dinner one night at Northstar, as it was just a five minute drive away. The next day, we spent at Lake Tahoe--a 15-20 minute drive to the north shore. It was a great spot.

Nice house, badly needs maintenance

Where do I start...I kept hearing of other broken things, what I can remember: Stove burners either didn't work or worked partially; no working BBQ...I think out of propane (those two in combination meant we mostly ate out); garage door needs adjustment and wouldn't close at times; front door could not be opened due to sticky mechanism; fridge water broken; jetted bath...first wouldn't go on, then wouldn't go off, drain stopper broken.

overall lovely home in a great location for family/friends get-away.

Kitchen well stocked, but dishwasher needs replacing as it does a very poor job, which we read on another review, so we hand washed our dishes. Floor plan provides privacy for each bedroom. FYI, one of the bedrooms is up a significant flight of stairs (more than 10), which we were not aware. One functioning pool cue to share. (that was also mentioned in another review) The 2nd stick is missing its tip; suggestion: buy a couple extra pool cues. Supply each bedroom with adequate clothes hangers, instructions for television, put dimmers in dining and kitchen island light fixtures, so it doesn't feel like a surgical suite, and provide guests the location of additional towels and linens. Lastly, read the reviews and follow up; not just say you are sorry, and will address issues. All things considered, we would still recommend this home. This is a sincere review. Hopefully this review won't be edited.

Great winter break

The house was wonderful. It was cozy and comfortable. Great to hang out in after a day of winter fun. Beds super comfy. Kids loved pool room. Kitchen very well appointed. It made it a pleasure to cook and have family meals. Location was the BEST! Lifts all easy access. Snow mobiling, tubing, shopping. It's all easy to get to. Loved the house and location. Beautiful!

Really not maintained

Really Dirty carpets, floors, loose hairs in bathrooms from prior people, dirty kitchen counters, dirty glasses, poor bedding, pool tone in severe disrepair and one cue stick to share, all in all, just not maintained or cleaned properly, this wasn’t a motel 6 so we expected more having stayed at many Tahoe homes in past years
