About Leslie Ray
Art and Leslie have been married for 34 years and have lived in Northwest Arkansas just as long. Art owns an air charter business and Leslie is retired. Art loves the outdoors and Leslie is an artist and art lover. They have three children, two adult, and one teen. They both enjoy traveling and staying in vacation rentals. Their home is conveniently situated next door their vacation rental, and they are happy to provide any small necessities that you may have forgotten to take with you.
Leslie Ray purchased this Bungalow in 2000
Why Leslie Ray chose Springdale
Barnett Bungalow is located next door to the owners' home, but turning the little farmhouse on the property into a vacation rental was not their original intent. In fact, they originally updated the home in order to accommodate family guests. But, friends love the location, and suggested that the home would make an excellent short term rental. It is private, yet easily accessible, while very convenient to attractions and activities.
What makes this Bungalow unique
The beauty of this location is that it is very near I-49, within city limits, and yet secluded. The property is nestled between an exclusive neighborhood of 2-acre properties and about 50 acres occupied by two large mansions. One only has to travel 10-30 minutes to access innumerable attractions and activities in Northwest Arkansas. So, if you were hoping for a quiet little getaway, but you don't want to miss out on the fun, here you have the best of BOTH worlds! You can see some amazing sunsets while taking a walk down the drive in the evening. Or, sit on the front porch and watch the sunrise. (July 4th celebrations are spectacular here! The home is on a hill, so you can see the country club fireworks!) The pasture to the south of the bungalow is often visited by deer, and there are hawks and a pair of owls that live on the property. Occasionally, you may hear and see the coyotes that sometimes travel through, or the occasional raccoon or road runner! If you come in the late summer, the crape myrtle trees will be blooming, and in the early fall, the apple tree may be in fruit. We have two dogs next door, a standard-size goldendoodle and a long-haired chihuahua. They are friendly, but please keep your distance, as the doodle likes to jump on you to say "hi". We let our dogs out in a fenced area, but now and then they do escape. Your initial inquiry will always be answered by us personally. Even our 'automated' messages, are individually customized, so that you will know you are communicating with a person. We are not, and do not use, a management company. We are ordinary people who take great pride in providing you with a very personal experience in our home. If you need any assistance with arranging reservations, please feel free to call us directly.

Great place for our short stay
Really enjoyed our stay. House and area was great.
Great place, convenient location
Thank you for your review, Glen! And thank you for your feedback while you were here...much appreciated!
We were in town to tour U of A and this was a perfect spot! Close to everything!
We used this property for a "girls' getaway". The house was immaculate! Everything from towels to glassware was well stocked. Friendly owner was prompt in helping us set up the new password for the wireless system (which worked great!). We enjoyed movies on the HUGE TV screen & couldn't have asked for a better base to explore the area. Convenient location - easy to find -would use again!
Sorry about the troubles you had with the wifi...my fault...I didn't update the password on the documents I sent you. I'm glad you still had a great time! <3
The house was a nice location-in town, but felt like it wasn't. It was clean well taken care of. It rained most of the time while we were there which canceled our reason for being there, but we still enjoyed staying in the bungalow over a hotel.
We were also disappointed that it rained while you were here, Allison! Our weather here is anything but predictable, but we had a very unusual amount of rain during your stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! :)
“Girls weekend away”
My friends and I spent a few days at the War Eagle craft show and decided to forgo the hotels. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very comfortable in a lovely location. It was like being in the country in town. And it was so central and convenient to everything we wanted. We are ready to book for next year!
We’re so pleased to hear that you had a good time during your stay here. Thank you for leavinf feedback!!
