Had a wonderful time. Beautiful property.
Only thing I would have liked is an easier way to get out of the water on the dock when swimming. Other then that had an amazing time. Would definitely stay again.
This unique home was the perfect retreat for a long weekend. It was by far the most well stocked vrbo property we have ever stayed in and even included a fully stocked bar. They have really thought of everything inside the home and it was very clean especially for a pet friendly rental. The lake and dock were perfect for launching our paddle board and relaxing. The location is quiet and secluded, but still close to restaurants and other attractions. Hosts were welcoming and responsive.
We brought our 2 dogs and our adult kids and spouses joined us for Thanksgiving weekend. The house was spotless and had a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable seating for all. Plus the windows looked out over the lake and the surrounding wooded landscape. Communication and check-in was seamless. We couldn't have been more content and we felt like we had found a treaure.
Dog here - We had a great time. The lake was beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the deck with our humans. Whitewater was close so the humans weren't gone long when they went for dinner or to get groceries. We hiked the Ice Age trail every day and there were many trailheads nearby so we visited a different segment every day. The house was clean and looked very nice. The kitchen had everything my humans needed to cook. And they got a cute welcome gift. I hope we all go back.
We've spent a couple of days there during Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. House was very comfortable and beautiful. Terrace on the main floor, overlooking the lake, was my favorite place to relax. House had everything we needed. You can tell the owners are taking great care to maintain the property. We took a trip to nearby public beach and were able to rent kayaks there. That was a wonderful experience. Property had a well arragned game room on the lower level and well designed main level.
Our 7th stay at this lovely lake house nestled in the trees, and we were not disappointed. Enjoyed making memories jumping off the dock, playing games and roasting marshmallows for s’mores.
This lovely home sits on a hill with wonderful views of the lake but still has lots of trees and privacy. We saw deer at dawn and dusk every day and turkeys twice. The road was private with no traffic noise. The pictures don't do it justice.
Inside the house was just as lovely. The square dining room table for 6 was great for our Thanksgiving dinner and also family board games. Much better than a rectangular table.
The unexpected bonus was all the wonderful amenities. Lots of soft throws for snuggling by the fire, mountains of towels, tons of games, and the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. Those touches truly made it feel like a home away from home, not a rental.
A wonderful bonus was all the a
The home was clean, very well stocked, and the owner was responsive to questions and requests. The home is located on Rice Lake and is only a few minutes away from Whitewater for groceries and restaurants. The steps were challenging for the senior members, especially the steps going down to the lake. A little more closet and dresser space dedicated for guests instead of storage would be nice. The weather was hot with heat indexes in the triple digits. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, but didn't spend as much time on the deck or by the firepit as we would have liked because of the excessive heat. Overall we had a good time.
Such a nice house. It was our second time there. The lake acess and the lake itself is great. Homey touches throughout. Deck is great. Totally recommend
Gene and Irene were wonderful hosts and were very responsive when we asked a question or needed something. The house is great and we’d love to come back sometime. Thank you!
We had a small family (siblings) reunion. The house was perfect, the owner responded to questions almost immediately, and the attention to detail in the home was beyond expectation. We enjoyed our stay! We had a great time and I would highly recommend this home.
Beautiful home and property. We spent lots of time on the back deck and took many walks in the neighborhood. Perfect place to relax. Lots of privacy with plenty to do in the area.
Our family had a great time at this property. We felt like we were staying in a park with areas to explore, a lake, beautifully maintained grounds - plus a super-comfy home. The owners communicated promptly and answered questions while we were there. This is a VERY well-stocked rental - kitchen, baths, lake recreation (inner-tubes, canoes, life jackets), firewood and roasting tools for the fire pit and much more. The layout made it easy for kids and adults to talk, goof around or nap anytime. They have well-maintained stairs heading down to the pier if you want to carry kayaks or canoes down. We had a GREAT time. Highly recommend.
A lovely lake house on a secluded street near plenty of beautiful hiking trails at the state park. The owners have thought of every guests’ needs -it’s like a home away from home nestled in the trees.
We booked this location because of the proximity to Alpine Valley Amphitheater. We had tickets for 2 shows and need a place to relax in between.
The property was beautiful. The owners have gone above and beyond with the amenities and information provided for you.
We had a great time relaxing on the wrap around deck. We loved the big game table to play dominoes on.
We were able to go swimming off the dock. Which was awesome because it was hot!
So many cute kitschy decorations and touches.
A true Wisconsin cabin experience.
View of the lake, pier to fish from, close to beach. The hiking trails were a little hard for my group, but trails near Ottawa Lake are better and not far of a drive.
We went to run at Kettle Moraine 100 and this ended up being the perfect location with all the amenities we needed! Wonderful property that was very comfortable.
