Overall good stay. We stayed here for a short getaway weekend and enjoyed the cabin. Cabin was clean and as described. It is conveniently located just a short drive from Acton and Granbury.
We really enjoyed staying in this cabin with so much history. The property is in a great location so close to Granbury and all the amazing things to do in the area.
Really nice cute old style Ranch House with loft Very well done , grandkids 9&4 had a blast!! Host let grandkids pet the horses they were so excited , walked around and just enjoyed the Outdoors. Great experience for all of us Cooked Out on the grill and ate outside. GREAT
The Dog Trot cabin is a beautiful historical cabin in a nice location. We had everything we needed for our overnight stay.
The host is amazing and filled us in on the cabin move and reassembling it back to original charm.
Very nice accommodation!!! Would love to make a return visit.
Honestly this was such an awesome find! The cabin is so cozy and welcoming you won’t regret booking here. We booked for the 4th of July weekend with our pup and ended up staying 2 extra days because of how much we enjoyed the property. To sleep in a cabin constructed over 150 years ago you are transported back to a simpler time and it felt like we could unplug from the craziness of life. It was the best decision to stay here and will definitely be booking again in the future.

About the host
Hosted by Ona Pruitt
The Pruitt family enjoys hosting this log cabin. John and Ona started the cabin for a vacation place in 2005 and then Doug and Marci our son and wife and now Payton our grandson keeps cabin fresh and clean for your stay.
Why they chose this property
Our family moved to Granbury about 30 years ago. We had a one bedroom house for 5 years and during that time family wanted to come visit. We found this beautiful old log house and moved it to our property for extra rooms. But... decided when not being used we could invite new friend to stay. The cabin is located on one end of our 40 arces and away from anyones houses. Private and quite for your stay.
What makes this property unique
You will only be about 7 miles from the Granbury Historic Square. Enjoy the country life but close to everything. Granbury Lake is about 4 miles.
