About this property
Private and Comfortable 3 Bedroom House
Whatever the Season there's so much to see and do. Summer is for relaxing. There's so much to do in the Finger Lakes. But sometimes just taking it easy and relaxing is too good to pass up. Judy's Guest House is the place for this. Air conditioning inside, when the weather is too hot to venture out. A shaded patio with a propane grill is just asking for a Shish-ke-bob and a huge green salad.
Starting in June there is the firefly spectacular. The lawn, trees and nearby fields are alive with millions of flashing lights. Time to sit outside with a cool drink and just watch nature at its best. And there is always a great fireworks display in July.
Or grab a pole (make sure you have a license) and bring home a fresh trout or bass for dinner! Fishing is really great here and Cayuga Lake has hosted the Bassmaster Elite Tournament and Festival in past years. If you're not the relaxing type, here are just a few things that can make your summer come alive. • Cinemas • Antiquing • Horseback Riding • Museums • Live Theater • Boating • Parasailing • Sight Seeing • Finger Lakes Wine Trail • Kayaking • Fishing • Sailing • Swimming • Restaurants • Theater • Music • Trumansburg Farmer's Market • Cabin View Alpaca Farm -lovely Alpaca items for sale • Glenwood Farms Bison • Cornell • Ithaca College • Waterloo Premium Outlet with 100 brand name stores • Hector National Forest • Harris Hill Soaring Center • Watkins Glen International Race Track • Corning Glass • Night Life • Ithaca Farmer’s Market • Goat Cheese Trail • Newman Arboretum • Sonnenburg Gardens • Seward Museum • Harriet Tubman Home

We always enjoy staying here. The host even helped us out when bad weather delayed our departure this time around. We will definitely stay again in the future!

Host is pleasant and an excellent communicator. Beds are very comfortable. The house is not level and slants in some areas, like the bathroom, which brought on vertigo in one of my guests. Other than that, the location, the cost and the ability to bring our dog made our stay worthwhile. Thank you.

Great location!!
We had a wonderful time at Judy's guest house! Thanks so much for your hospitality!
Our stay in Judy's guesthouse was great -- the pricepoint for location between Cayuga and Seneca Lakes + the wineries is unmatched. The house felt private and had a nice grassy lawn in the back for our dog to run around. Additionally, we had everything we needed for home cooking, between the grill outside and a full kitchen. We would stay here again!
Perfect for my family. It was private, but close to everything. Lots of waterfalls around, which we love ❤️

Lovely country home
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The house is very comfortable and the grounds and area are beautiful. There is a nice lawn area under mature trees and the surrounding area and small creek are managed for wildlife - saw lots of birds and deer.
The house was very clean. And the property is beautiful.

Cozy and comfortable
We came in town for a race and this space was spacious and perfect for resting up before and after the race. Beautiful property as well and grateful for a place that allows pets.
For needing to be in both T-burg AND Ithaca over the weekend, this location was perfect. Loved the more secluded feel and the fireflies were amazing!
Comfy beds, decently stocked kitchen and sufficient furniture for our group to sit/eat comfortably.
There were some cobwebs and more than a couple spiders, so we rated the cleanliness a little lower.

Girls Getaway
This was our 2nd time back to this lovely home. We picked a great weekend to visit with the leaves changing. Easy to get to and from places around Cayuga Lake. We enjoyed attending the Chestnut Festival at one of the local wineries.

Cousin Time
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Too bad the weather wasn't cooperating, still a beautiful area. Had a great time with family. Cozy place to get together.
Exactly as described. We had a wonderful time. The location is ideal to explore the region - with nearby wineries and waterfall trails - and our stay was like a retreat with beautiful wildflowers all around. Judy's communication and helpfulness surpassed all expectations!
We had an incredible vacation! The house is so comfortable and roomy judy had everything we needed and some!! The favorite part was the yard. My girls loved playing in the brook with our dog! We enjoyed relaxing watching them play and gwt along! Love the location so close to everywhere we loved the falls and swimming in thelake and jumping off the diving board by the waterfall!! My husband also caught some real big trout!! We will definitely be back next yr and after that! Thanks again
We had a great time staying at Judy's Guest House. It is a great starting point for exploring the Finger Lakes, being close to Cayuga Lake and lots of wineries & cideries.
The kitchen provided everything we needed for cooking breakfasts and would have been fine for lunch and dinner if we weren't out running around.
Beds were comfortable, and the heating and a/c worked well.
Lots of space for our dogs to stretch out and plenty of good smells to investigate out in the yard.
A nice comfortable place to stay, especially if you have pets that travel with you.
We'll definitely be back!
Judy’s Guest House is in a great location! It’s the perfect place to put your feet up and relax after a fun day of hiking and winery tours. The beds are comfortable and it is very quiet and peaceful. It is located off of a country road, but not in a neighborhood with reduced speeds. The backyard is a certified wildlife preserve and is kept in its natural state. They appear to be in the process of residing one side of the house, but that did not impact the temperature control inside. We had a great time at Judy’s!

Gorgeous grounds
We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Judy's guest house! The house was just as described, the gardens beautiful and serene, a wonderful retreat from our busy graduation days! Judy was very helpful right from the start and answered my emails promptly. She had a great restaurant recommendation as well, putting the icing on the cake. All in all a wonderful experience for this very special occasion (Cornell graduation)... would highly recommend... thanks Judy! :)
The house was clean and orderly, beds made up and television worked fine. There is an odor when you run the water both in the kitchen and bath. Also a few bugs inside but nothing harmful. We needed to turn on the heat and that worked perfectly. I also appreciated the simple check-out instructions.

Great Getaway Place for Families
My family and I loved this cottage. The cottage itself is very roomy and accommodating for all your needs. The bedrooms are very nice and clean, the largest bedroom is almost like a bedroom/living room if you're traveling with multiple families and like a little privacy. The cottage is pet friendly and the yard is huge and wonderful; my dog loved playing and running out there. There is tons space for family games and as well as nooks and crannies and a "private island" for hiding out and relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine that you can get from one of the many wineries located in the area. There is also a lot of artisans in the area and they have shops scattered throughout the surrounding towns that you can visit. Watkins Glen is within a half hour, Taughannock Falls is just down the road and there are beaches within a couple miles as well on Cayuga Lake. The pretty City of Ithaca is also within a half hour drive and there are many shops and things to do there. All in all, this place is the perfect location and setting for a great week or weekend getaway. We'll likely rent it again in the future.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
While the country location was peaceful and the house had all the required amenities for a family weekend, we felt this house was a bit misrepresented. The outdoor property was not usable for the kids due to overgrown grass and poison ivy. The largest issue was that the house was very grimy. We are a shoes off family, we left our shoes on. It is a small step above cabin camping. The iron in the well water was pretty bad as well. This is a good house for a group with pets, who don’t want to camp, but I don’t think it’s worth the price we paid. And I would not recommend it for young families due to the dirtiness. There were crumbs on the counter, a filthy sponge left in the sink, grease all over the dishes in the cupboard, other people’s hair in the bathroom, I could go on. One benefit of not wanting to spend too much time in the house, was we thoroughly explored all that this amazing area has to offer.
