Great central location. Not far from Williamstead, yet not to far from Westpunt. Very nice home with everything you need. Only complaint golf course is not in good shape. And outrageously priced.

Stayed here with 6 people on a trip celebrating our graduation from medical school. It turned out even better than my highest expectations. The beautiful open air design with the enormous wrap around porch had us smiling from the moment we walked in. It is very well appointed with comfortable furniture during the day and beds to comfortably sleep six adults. The full kitchen allowed us to prepare all our meals ourselves and save money to explore the island and go on adventures. Felt like a very secure location on the grounds of Bluebay resort, with security at the entrance. Free parki was available a few steps from the villa itself. The only negative of our stay was the mosquitos, who seemed to like hanging out in the villa. We did get a notice about fumigations in the villas occurring every Wednesday and mosquito nets were in 2 out of the three bedrooms, so I'm sure it could have been much worse. I slept in the room without the net and put bugspray with at least 25% DEET on before sleep. I made it through the week with only 2-3 bites total, so be smart and it really won't be a problem at all. I'd stay here again without hesitation

Return to paradise

As return renters we continue to enjoy Poco Poco Villa. The villa is located centrally in Blue Bay making it a 5 minute walk to the beach or golf course. The villa is clean and the outdoor dining and lounging area is wonderful. Richard is very responsive and communicates promptly and clearly. The beds are super comfortable and all in all it is a great place to enjoy all Curacao has offer.

dubbelzinnig pocopoco

Bestek was minimaal, geen theelepeltjes, geen behoorlijk koksmes, geen fruit/schilmesje, geen kaasschaaf. Glaswerk nauwelijks aanwezig (slechts 5 kleine limonade glazen). Op een (steel-)wok na wel voldoende pannen en schalen. Na klacht hierover heeft de beheerder i.o.m. de eigenaar e.e.a. aangeschaft zoals wijn-, bier- en limonadeglazen, wok, koksmes) en op de 5e dag van ons verblijf geleverd. In de master-bedroom hing een vreemde lucht die gemaskeerd werd door geurstokjes. Na een week is er schoongemaakt en was de vieze geur weg. De foto's op de website van de veranda zijn gedateerd, het vrolijk gekleurde meubilair is vervangen door (in onze ogen, maar smaken verschillen) pompeus niet passend meubilair, dat ook slecht schoon te houden/maken is. De ligbedden zijn er ook niet meer. Positief punt is de hangmat! Contact met beheerder liep wat stroef ... ws. omdat geen persoonlijk contact is geweest en zij dus niet zelf ter plaatse was, maar een hulp/assistent stuurde ... en dan gaat de communicatie via-via .... Het moment van schoonmaak ging helaas niet in overleg en gebeurde dus onaangekondigd. Pocopoco was voor ons dus wel een beetje een teleurstellend m.n. omdat we ook al eerder in andere villa's verbleven, waar eigenlijk alles goed of zelf uitstekend was. Ik hoop dat bovenstaande tot verbetering leidt.

Great resort but unit poorly maintained and provisioned.

Blue Bay Village is a great destination and these big veranda 3 bedroom units have great layouts, we just got a poorly maintained and provisioned unit. Guest room bathroom smelled like sewage rising from shower plumbing and was unusable last few days. Outdoor lights on timer flickered brightly at night distracting us and neighbors. No instructions for dishwasher, never got it to work. Several light indoors were out including front hall. One completely exposed electrical socket, clearly a safety hazard for young children. Not sure unit had even been cleaned before we arrived in terms of floors, counters, etc. Had to ask for more toilet paper on second day. Very few basic provisions (like sugar, napkins, etc.). Had to wait for manager with village security calling and radioing him before he arrived to check us in even though he knew our exact arrival time. No nice touches at all like a bar of soap for the shower just hand liquid soap. Air conditioners in bedrooms not well controlled with remotes. The list goes on, especially for the price paid. My guess is the owner may not know all of this and the manager makes no effort. Overall rating 3 only because of Curacao, beach, resort facilities etc. All the other units in section looked well maintained and clean.

Great stay! Richard was always quick to respond to any questions. His manager, Jan, absolutely wonderful and so helpful. Mosquitos were very bad. Must have Deet repellent. Beaches all clean and beautiful. Swimming pool just redone, very nice. Service on the island slow and very laid back. Must have a car to get around. Blue Bay is very safe. Has 24-7 security. Must check in and out. Never once felt scared. Occasionally you’ll see an Iguana on the golf course. Great breakfast at the golf course restaurant. Wonderful people. Found the locals would go out of their way to help you. If you choose to stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

The Blue Bay Resort is a very relaxing, well designed gated holiday community with a clean, turquoise beach, beach bar, dive shop and very clean beach bathrooms. The staff are friendly and there are plenty of beach chairs. It has a laid back, quiet vibe but the daily happy hour is popular and it's wonderful to sit with a drink and watch the sun go down. Poco Poco Villa is well appointed with a great outdoor living space. The large dining table is perfect for daily/friends gatherings. The hammock is a nice touch.

Centraal op het eiland gelegen met een heerlijk zwembad en strand vlakbij

Het resort Blue Bay Beach waarop de vila gelegen is, is een mooi resort. Het strand is mooi en de strandbedjes gratis voor de vila bewoners. Waterschoentjes hoeven niet perse maar is wel prettig om te dragen. De vila was mooi groot maar sommige dingen waren een beetje verouderd (wiel ligbed viel er steeds af waardoor je er eigenlijk niet op kon liggen). Het duurde even voor wij het elektrische fornuis doorhadden en we misten wat pannen maar verder was de vila perfect. Ruime slaapkamers met heerlijke airco. De wifi ontvangst was zeer goed. Het zwembad was heerlijk en lekker dichtbij. De muggen in de avond waren wat minder. Wij sprayden ons in met Offt wat in elke supermarkt te koop is. Dat hielp een beetje. Schoonmaak is in de 10 dagen maar 1x geweest. Toen bracht zij alleen schone handdoeken. Dat maakte voor het schoonmaken niet zo uit want dat hielden wij zelf bij maar 10 dagen tussen dezelfde lakens slapen was iets minder. Douche was heerlijk en gaf voldoende water met een goede straal. Kort samengevat. Er waren misschien een paar kleine minpuntjes maar over het algemeen waren wij zeer tevreden en zouden wij deze vila de volgende keer zo weer huren.

Lovely, relaxing, family-oriented yet awesome for a couple or single person

Firstly, Curacao is absolutely wonderful. It has everything from geological features to a gorgeous Caribbean Sea! It is an island for active people, yet the chill factor is right at your finger tips. This private get away villa was very clean, well-equipped, charming as well as cozy. It was wonderful to wake up every morning to sip coffee on the porch overlooking the pool! The breeze was amazing and the hammock added a nice touch! The beds were comfy and the showers clean! You are only steps from the cerulean picturesque ocean of Blue Bay Resort. We walked the wonderful path along the very green golf course with Flamingos as our guide every night to watch the sunset! The grocery store is right around the corner! Also, there is a very lovely happy hour at the beach there. Poco Poco Villa did not disappoint and was a great place to make memories. Be sure to sign a rock and place it in the dish on the TV mantle! We did! I believe out of all the villas in the complex, this one has the best view and rocks!

The property is well cared for and very comfortable

We were on an mission's adventure in Curacao and decided to stay in something other than a hotel as we have done on previous trips. This was a wise decision, the property gave us flexibility for what we were doing. The owner was superb in making sure we were accomodated with any special needs. We were very comfortable, bedrooms were well supplied. There was enough room to relax after a hard days work; the pool and beach access were top-notch. Highly recommend this property.

Excellent access to Curacao's best features.

Our group of 6 enjoyed our stay at Poco Poco Villa. We especially enjoyed the lovely beach and access to the pool right outside our door. The men played golf while the women shopped in Willemstad. Blue Bay was a convenient location - a ten minute trip to town and dive sites within 30 minutes. The resort personnel were friendly and thorough, very good security. We were very appreciative of the AC in the bedrooms.

A Beautiful Villa, Resort, and Island!

This was our first time to Curacao and we absolutely fell in love with the place. We stayed for 5 weeks with three small children (ages 5, 3, and 1). We were absolutely thrilled with the villa, the resort, and the island. Poco Poco was perfect for our family. It is located right next to the pool which was great for us (the kids can't get off the deck, unless they climb over it) so it is easy to keep an eye on them so they don't sneak away to the pool on their own. The beach was sandy, not too rocky, had shade, and had the best snorkelling we found on the island (we visited 5 or 6 other beaches). There is air conditioning in all of the bedrooms, and ceiling fans in the two larger bedrooms as well as the living room. Keeping the bedroom doors closed during the day helps keep the mosquitos out at night (and turn ac on at night). The kitchen had everything you'd need to cook your own meals. There's no oven so be sure to plan meals that are cooked in frying pans and pots.The whole area of Blue Bay is very safe. There is security at the gate, and there are security guards roaming around the entire area so we always felt secure. The house is cleaned (new towels, sheets, bathrooms cleaned, floors mopped) every four days which was really nice. A few things worth checking out on the island are, Hato Caves Tour, the Sea Aquarium, the Ostrich Farm, Willemstad, we explored some other beaches including Cas Abao (so gorgeous), Jan Thiel, Playa Lagun, Playa Porto Marie, Knip Beach (absolutely beautiful!), and I think it was Playa Grandi where you can snorkel with sea turtles if you go around 3pm. We mostly cooked in the villa but went out a few times. The Sunset Bar at Blue Bay was lovely (Wed. is burger night, reservations are recommended if you want a table by the ocean). We went to Landhuis Dokterstuin "Restaurant Komedor Krioyo" 3 times because we loved it (a great 'authentic' meal if you are looking for that). We also went to Jaanchies restaurant for an 'authentic' experience. The owner is great (try a sm. bowl of iguana soup). If you need a vehicle, go with Just Drive Curacao. They were amazing. Richard was wonderful to work with during the months before our trip. As a mom of 3 small children I had many questions. Richard was always quick and thorough in his response, and helped put my mind at ease. If....no, WHEN we go back, we will most definitely be staying at Poco Poco again. Hopefully we'll be back soon Richard. Many thanks!

Great location!

Although the pool is right next to this villa, there weren't any issues with noise from the pool despite the many visitors in the area. We were thrilled to be so close so that we could enjoy plenty of swim time in the HOT climate of Curacao. The villa is in Blue Bay Resort which is close to a Centrum grocery market where we shopped for our food for the villa in addition to some other basics like toilet paper (the villa came with one roll per bathroom but no extra), and hand and dish soap. The villa can be very hot during the day as there is no AC in the main living areas. Ideally, we wouldn't have been in the room but we have a napping infant and had to take some breaks from touring about so that he could rest. All bedrooms have AC so sleeping at night wasn't an issue. The villa is a short walk down to the beach or an easy drive. The beach was fantastic and the restaurants in that area were also good. There were no mosquito nets in the property but they weren't needed in the bedrooms. There are plenty of mosquitos on the island and we had them on the patio and in the main living area when we had the doors open, but we kept the bedroom doors shut and didn't have any mosquitos in our sleeping areas. We would recommend this villa without hesitation. As we drove around the island, we felt like we had chosen wisely to stay in Blue Bay Resort after seeing the other options available. We had originally booked at a hotel but the convenience of having a full villa to ourselves instead of one room with two beds was too much to pass up. Plus, the price is very good compared to hotel options and you still get resort amenities being in Blue Bay.

Very good vacation rental.

My family and I had the opportunity to stay at Poco Poco Villa in Blue Bay Beach and Golf Resort. We thought it was a very good vacation rental. The Villa was comfortable, clean, very well located and contained all that was necessary. We also found the compound contained many different aspects of what is needed on a good vacation - restaurants, beach, activities, etc. just a few minutes walk along the garden footpath. Be sure to request your grocery pack - especially if coming into the island in the night. Also must mention - you feel safe in this Compound. The beach area is nice and family friendly and you can swim for hours on end. All in all, my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, in Poco Poco Villa at Blue Bay. We would love to return.

Nice, spacious groundfloor villa, within walking distance of the beach.

We had a great holiday in Poco Poco Villa! A nice, spacious groundfloor villa constisting of a living and kitchen, combined with three bedrooms with excellent airconditioning. The porch is great for outside dining and relaxing and faces the pool, so it's easy to keep an eye on the kids. We enjoyed the pool but even more the beach which is less than 5 minutes on foot. Bluebay is situated in the center of Curacao so the entire island is easily accessible, whether you want to go to Jan Thiel or Willemstad for the action or prefer the more laid back beaches on the way to Westpunt. Richard is very quick in answering questions and very helpful. All in all a very pleasant experience!

Beautiful Place

The home was beautiful with a great view of the pool and golf course. There were many birds that visited while having morning tea. The beach was very close and georgeous as well. The cleaning people showed up everyday with fresh towels if needed, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Richard, the owner was always on hand via email to answer any questions that arose. Overall it was a very nice stay. We hope to be back one day.
