About this property

Newly remodeled condo with the best views in the village

Our condo is a one bedroom, one den, and one bathroom with mountain views and patio on the top floor of building 4 facing the entire mountain range of Squaw Valley, now Palisades Tahoe
The view reaches from the Tram to Red Dog lift.
The condo has been fully remodeled.
The den with foldable queen sleeper sofa can be privatized by closing curtains. The living room has a fireplace and 40 inch HD TV and a ROKU tv/stereo system.
The living room and den have leather couches/queen sofa pull out beds.
The bathroom has been remodeled with radiant heated floors, shower and TOTO toilet, Towels and all amenities are provided.
The master bedroom has a new queen size bed with plush mattress, feather pillows, nice cotton linens looking out over the ski mountain.
You can check the lines at Funitel before you have your coffee. The hot tubs and sauna are two floors down. The spa provides towels and has two full bathrooms. The coin operated washer and dryers, and ski locker are accessible at the entry level. Underground parking accessible with guest parking pass are included as well as a ski locker conviently located at the ground floor just a short walk away to the lifts.

The location was good, and the unit was clean, but the overall operations need improvement. There was a strong odor in the condo, possibly due to it being pet-friendly. Entry relied on physical keys and a parking pass that were mailed but did not arrive before our stay. Despite multiple attempts to return them, we were charged 525 for a missing plastic key that had been turned in to the front desk.

Beautiful place, great host.

Carole's place is new, modern, clean and has a great view of the village and slopes. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, bars and ski lifts, what more can you ask for.

We had a great stay. The condo is spotless and is in beautiful condition with cozy beds, plenty of blankets and towels, a warm bathroom floor, solid surface kitchen counters and a great view of the mountain.

Fantastic Trip / Great Location

This condo was a great home base for a short trip that my wife & I took to Palisades. The location is top notch with an easy walk to multiple dinner options and, of course, to the ski lifts. Will definitely be back!

Super convenient and comfortable place right in the village and steps from the slopes. Clean and recently updated. Bathroom was beautiful. They even had a legit Japanese toilet, which goes to show they spared no expenses!

Relaxing Easy and Comfortable

We spent 4 nights at the condo and everything was new and comfortable. The location is convenient to ski school and restaurants. The host was very friendly and helpful. She offered a late checkout. We intend to rent the condo again.

Great ski weekend in Olympic Valley

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend staying in this apartment. Caroline is an exceptional host - she sent us a welcome letter before our arrival which outlined in detail everything we needed to know for a seamless stay. The kitchen is well organized and stocked and the apartment has plenty of blankets, pillows and clean towels. The location is perfect - walking distance to the slopes and restaurants. I would definitley stay here again!

Very nice condo in a great location in the village. Beautiful view of the mountain from the balcony. So convenient for skiing. There are a lot of food options nearby. Caroline was so easy to communicate with also. I highly recommend this listing.

Beautiful condo!

This is an excellent condo in the village at Palisades. The sleeping alcove with curtains for the sofa bed worked really well for our kids. The remodeled kitchen was fun to cook in and on a dry day it’s wonderful to sit on the balcony with a cup of hot chocolate and look at the sunset over the village and the mountains.

Great location

The location was great. The host was very easy to contact. We had an issue with the sheets not being clean and had to replace them. Also, the ice drawer was dirty. The only other issue was there are no drawers for clothes. The closet seems big enough for a stack of small drawers/shelves to put up clothes.The host was very responsive and I would stay there again as i know she will address these issues.

Great Condo in a Great Location

This is a great condo for a ski weekend. The pull out was incredibly comfortable and high quality. The ability to close the curtain to the sleeping nook made it a perfect stay for 3 people. The host was communicative and provided us flexibility at check-out since our ride was arriving an hour later than check out time. We would definitely stay here again!

Modern condo in the perfect location

A friend and I visited Tahoe for a ski weekend and couldn’t have been happier with this place. The condo felt newly renovated and upscale, with all the amenities we could’ve wanted (including access to really nice hot tubs). The location was perfect, in the heart of the village and steps away from the lifts and restaurants. We will certainly try to stay here again the next time we visit Tahoe.

Great place

This was a great location. Easy check in. Communication with owner was exceptional. Spacious for a one bedroom. Two sofa couches at a distance so you can sleep on one and still sit on the other. The sofa beds could have been a little more comfortable, but this is true of all sofa beds. Well stocked. Close to hot tubs. Hands down, the best view in the village from the window and balcony. I would definitely stay again. I have stayed on the village a lot and this location is the best

We are first owners and love to come up to Squaw not only to ski but to get away from the buzy Bay Area all year round. We loved it when our kids were small and continue as we have over the last 18 years. We hope you will enjoy our vacation home as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because of the superb views and its location. Ski in and ski out and conveniently located for a variety of other activities. You park your car underground and everything you need during your stay is within reach. Even during the summer months we find ourselves not using our car. Instead we walk, hike, bike, swim or sit on our patio overlooking the hustle and bustle in the village, reading a book, or having a glass of wine with friends in our home or at one of the many wonderful establishments.

What makes this property unique

We love our condo for its views and its convenience. This condo is uniquely located in the Village of Squaw Valley, newly renamed as Palisades Tahoe. It is on the top floor with fantastic views stretching from Red Dog to High Camp. The condo being on the 4th floor has high ceilings and was remodeled in 2015, 2020, and 2021. The condo has a personal touch unlike the hotel owned rentals in the same building.
