Why Dorothy Reilly chose San Francisco
After buying a spectacular seaside property 3 mi. out of town to build our dream house, we planned to first build a spec house in the village to fund construction of our dream house. To our surprise, when Casa Polo was complete, we discovered we loved living in the village more than ocean side & now our seaside lot is going on the market.
What makes this House unique
Lots of privacy, great manager, plunge pool, close to EntreAmigo community center, end of cul-de-sac.

The best house in town!
Casa Polo was the perfect place to stay for our time in San Pancho. We had 7 people (three couples and one friend) stay in this house, so we put every space to good use and can say confidently that you will not find a better place to stay.
The rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is awesome for meal prep. The house itself is a cool escape from the heat. The terraces are THE BEST place to be for sunset with a snack and a mezcal. And the little cooling pool in the yard is a great resource after hot and sunny afternoons walking through town. Abigail, the caretaker of the house, was very helpful in providing information ahead of our arrival, and is a great resource for anything about the town and the area.
We only spent 5 days here, but we saw Sayulita, PV, and Punta de Mita as well. It is safe to say that we will be returning to San Pancho again soon, and that we will be staying here. I can't think of a reason to look anywhere else.
Thank you Dorothy and Abigail!
San Pancho gem
Our week at this lovely house in San Pancho was everything we were looking forward to and more! Spacious and beautifully appointed, the house is a mix of contemporary and old world charm. A large living area that can accommodate a crowd also feels cozy and inviting for two. Roof top seating areas as well as a wonderful garden pool offer different vistas for privacy and bird watching! Nestled into the trees on the edge of town, Casa Polo is a nice walk through the lively little village to the beach. We will definitely return to this little bit of paradise!
Not such a great value
The house is nice, but I expected a lot better for the price we paid. Here are the cons: 1) pool is small and doesn't ever warm up. 2) upstairs suite is extremely noisy. You hear all of the noise from the surrounding neighborhood including the chickens and roosters living next door. 3) they don't let you use the washer and dryer that are on the property. 4) decor is outdated. 5) sheets cheap
6) no view. Pros. 1) lot's of outdoor space 2) bedrooms are spacious enough 3) bathrooms are nice 4) water filtration system handy 5) 10 minute walk to the beach. Overall my experience was just ok with this house.
Oh Gail I am so sorry that your experience was not stellar. 1) Yes you are right, the pool is a plunge pool and designed to be small and it is not heated. I will add that to our house profile so that others do not have that expectation. Thanks. 2) And from the upper room the sounds of Mexico do come in, roosters and all. We happen to like that but can understand others not being interested in the local noises. It is quiet in the two bedrooms downstairs. 3) We do not put washer and dryer on the amenities for the house so they should not be expected. We do offer clothes washing services which you can arrange with our wonderful manager
4) Hummm.. decor outdated... you are in Mexico now! 5) Surprised you found the sheets cheap. I will make certain that the beds are being made with our finest linens. 6) The house faces the inner courtyard. We are not near the ocean with views - correct. I believe this is the only disappointing review we have received. So please take that into consideration when you consider staying at Casa Polo - our little retreat in San Pancho. By the way, these quests broke more items and had more unreported overnight quests than any others we have had.
Great relaxing house, great communication with host, woud stay again!
The house is really beautiful and in a chill town. It is a bit further from the beach than we thought, but not bad still at 15min or so walking. Great pool, ping pong, beautiful bedrooms, comfy beds.
Loved our stay!
Loved our stay! We are five girlfriends (for 50 plus years !) who get together every year for a reunion. This year we chose the town of San Pancho and it was perfect. The house was lovely, easy and accommodating. We were met by Abi and Carlos who were so warm, welcoming, helpful and kind. They were easy to contact and so responsive to our questions and needs. Loved that we could walk into town for restaurants and shops. And the beach! We began our days by cooking breakfast in the well-stocked kitchen and often ended them with drinks and snacks on the upper deck. Great place to be together. We are already planning a return trip.
Such a beautiful outdoor living home
It was a pleasure having you.
