About this property

Margaux - 1967 Airstream Bambi

Margaux is a 1967 Airstream Bambi tucked in our private garden in SE Portland. This is a quiet, nostalgic retreat designed for guests who want to slow down, be present, and experiencing something a little different. If you appreciate nature and a touch of nostalgia while still being in the heart of what the city has to offer, this space is for you.

The space:

If you love the idea of camping but want a real bed and a hot tub, Margaux offers an "elevated camping" experience. Please note that this is a vintage trailer with a compact, cozy interior (dimensions: [Enter Length x Width here]).

Because Margaux has such a specific vintage character, we ask that you review these details and the full listing carefully to ensure our "garden glamping" style is the right fit for you. If you’d like additional clarity on anything, please don't hesitate to reach out!

The Bathroom & Kitchen: The bathroom is a compact, camping-style setup featuring a propane-heated handheld shower. Because the shower area is not enclosed, it is best suited for a quick rinse-off rather than a long soak. The kitchenette includes a gas range, sink, and mini-fridge. It's perfect for light use and simple meals.

Amenities: You’ll have everything you need to stay comfortable, including WiFi, heating/cooling, and electricity.

Outdoor Living: Guests have full access to our garden firepit and year-round hot tub.

Shared Space & Neighborhood
The property is shared with us, our friendly dogs, and our indoor/outdoor cat. Guests should be comfortable with pets and respecting shared garden spaces. We live in a popular, active neighborhood, so while the garden is a retreat, some normal city sounds are to be expected.

Guests & Age: Only registered guests may use the Airstream, yard, or hot tub. Guests must be 18+ unless accompanied by an adult (children 13+ are welcome).

Guest access:

The garden, year-round hot tub, and firepit are all yours to enjoy! Please remember that firewood is not provided, so you'll want to bring your own wood for any evening burns.

While the garden is a shared space, we deeply respect your privacy and will follow your lead. You may occasionally see us doing light gardening, home maintenance, or letting the dogs out, but we always do our best to give you the "right of way" so you can feel truly at home in the garden.

Other things to note:

Guest Policy: To maintain a peaceful environment, only guests on the booking are permitted on the property.

Parking: Street parking is plentiful and always available. We recommend pulling in your side mirror as a precaution. It's never been an issue, but better safe than sorry! Please do not park in or block ours or the neighbors driveway.

Trash & Recycling: We provide two aluminum bins: one for landfill and one for recycling. You are welcome to leave your waste in those bins, or you can empty them into the larger bins located along the back fence in the driveway at the end of your stay.

Hot Tub & Yard: The hot tub is available 24/7, but we ask for low voices and no music after 10 PM. Bathing suits are required at all times.

Firewood: You're responsible for your own wood. Mt. Scott Fuel is within walking distance for bundles, or you can check Safeway/New Seasons on Woodstock Blvd.

Smoking: Strictly prohibited inside the Airstream but permitted outdoors on the deck. Please use the provided ashtray.

Margaux is a cozy place to stay with a fabulous outdoor / deck seating area. Kayla is an excellent host who answered all of my questions and provided a clear description of the property and "glamping" experience. The only reason I didn't give my stay 5 stars is because if was a little uncomfortable during the extreme heat -there is ac, but it was hard to regulate the temperature inside & the ac was loud.

A cozy spot to land in Portland

Seems like everything is no more than 25 minutes away - wonderful hosts that had everything set up as advertised, friendly but not obtrusive….the Portland weather kept us from enjoying the hot tub and fire pit during our extended weekend stay , but the yard is a magnificent oasis of flowers, fresh herbs and a. Fig tree and lots of singing birds in the morning to enjoy with your coffee on the deck …as a veteran of the great folk scare of the 1960’s the vinyl collection is outstanding.

Hi, I’m Kayla! I love creating spaces that capture a feeling or creates moments of connection. Whether you’re adventuring solo or with someone you love, Margaux is my way of sharing that. This is a place to slow down and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. I hope it feels like home to you!

Why they chose this property

The community in Foster-Powell is so strong! It's a neighborhood where people know you and invest in the well being of community as a whole. We have lots of street fairs, cultural events, group bike rides, community gardens etc. It truly feels like a special pocket of Portland. When people talk about the "old Portland", it's alive and well in FoPo.

What makes this property unique

Margaux is truly magical and space that allows guests to step back, slow down, and reconnect.
