This property should be delisted from any service. You need to be a mountain goat to get up the steps, you need to duck down to fit under the roof at the front door, neighborhood is rough, property is surrounded by chain link fences not shown in any pic, it had cigarette smoke smells inside, gun shots woke us up at night, dogs barking kept us awake at night, vicious dogs almost required us to call 911 when we tried to remove our luggage. We checked our of our scheduled 4 day stay the first morning

Convenient location
Easy drive to downtown Birmingham. Older neighborhood, mostly quiet. Large, dog friendly, partially fenced yard. The main bathroom is very nice, and the house is roomy, but does have a few minor maintenance issues. Furniture and beds could use upgrading. Kitchen is nice, but only has very basic cookware; no toaster, spatulas, colander, etc. Adequate washer/dryer, linens/ towels. This was a better option than a hotel for our group.
Property looked nothing like advertised. Immediately upon arriving my son said it was a renovated “trap house”. Checked in and there was a strong overwhelming odor of cat urine that 3 plug-in air fresheners were trying to mask unsuccessfully. There was a huge crack/hole in the hallway floor and dead bugs in the floor in the bathroom. We checked in for a 3 night stay for my daughter’s graduation and ended up staying only one night. We slept on air mattresses in her apartment for the remainder of our stay. After contacting the owner about the smell and other issues, he said I’ll check into it and we never heard anything back from him or any offer to compensate us. Would not recommend this property to anyone.
The property has been updated with some nice features and could have been a great place to stay. What we discovered at check in was a poorly maintained property. Shower head was coming off from wall, light in 1/2 bath didn’t work properly. It was also not very clean … shower had mold in the corner and didn’t appear to be clean, dishwasher had dishes left in them that hold mold growing on them, floors were not clean, animal feces under queen bed, large stain on rug in living room. Our family spent a good amount of time cleaning and had to buy cleaning products and some new pillows and washed all the linens in order to even feel comfortable staying. Tried to address concerns with property owner but he was more concerned about charging us a “pet fee” even though the listing does Not mention anything of pets fee but says that pets are allowed.FYI I also have pics of these concerns
