Overbooked and Not Fully Refunded
The property owner listed on vrbo and the orher vacation stay competitor site and did not appropriately sync the calendars. I was unable to reach the owner by phone or messaging on the day of check in and did not find out until we were nearly to the property that it was already occupied. No communication from the owner about the unit being overbooked in the month since we booked it. The owner apologized and agreed to refund the stay, but I have still not received a full refund. Vrbo support is unwilling to resolve and said the owner must do something from her dashboard to refund me. Super frustrating experience and we ended up having to find last minute accommodations (after driving all day) for 7 people, including children, and it cost us twice as much. Not a great start to family vacation and a poor service recovery experience. I'd appreciate the promised refund.
