About this property

Amazing Mountain views - Ski In Ski Out - Wifi - fireplace - Pets OK

We are Slope-side with a full view to the North/East, Dobie Mountain Condominium, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, and recently installed all new windows so you can really enjoy the amazing views. Sunken sunroom with fireplace and spectacular view overlooking the slopes, express lift, and snowboard park. You don't have to leave the condo to watch Freestyles double cross races! Master bedroom over looking the slopes. Unit is in walking distance to the main lodge for shopping and dining. Reserved parking place.

Although well known for ski season, Spring, Summer, and Fall are our favorite times of year to visit Wintergreen. There are way too many outdoor activities to list, but a couple of our favorites are tennis, golf, hiking, wine tasting, antiquing, music festivals and The Dome, The Wintergreen Nature Center, and just sitting on our balcony taking in the fresh mountain air. The Out of Bounds Adventure Park has a skateboard park, paintball, and the recently added zipline. Professional guides are available for mountain biking. Our dog loves to go hiking all around Wintergreen. Lake Monocan is near by and has numerous activities available. Everything is centrally located and there is Shuttle service located right in front of our condo, which is available from 7AM until Midnight so driving is optional.

Do you have young children? The Treehouse is a one minute walk and offers half and full day children's activities. The staff is amazing and keep the children busy.

Please note. Wintergreen changed their policy and no longer issues members (us) "Guest of a member" cards. However, if you let us know you are interested in using the amenities like Wintergreen Spa (pool and fitness), Devils Grill, Golf or tennis we can register you as guests of members and you will pick up a pass the day of your arrival.

Awesome Condo, Great location!!

We LOVED our stay at this adorable condo in Wintergreen. I loved being able to see the kids ride up the lift and talk to them before they disappeared into the snow trails again. Our youngest (teenager) loved the freedom of closing down the slopes each night when the rest of us were wiped out. The condo had an adorable fireplace area to cozy up around, the rooms were good size. Bunks need to be a little bigger in height for bottom use, but all and all the house was great.

Great condo in a great location

Great condo for a family with an ideal location for anytime of the year. Well equipped kitchen with basic supplies. Owner was very responsive when we had a small issue and when we wanted to extend our stay.

Everything we needed plus beautiful views

This condo was perfect for our family of 4 and dog. It was spacious, cozy, had all the necessary amenities, and the views were spectacular. Our Favorite Spot in Wintergreen!

Wintergreen is a special place for me and my wife, we love getting down there and up in the mountains to unplug This is now the second time we've stayed here, and will be back again for sure. The ability to bring our 2 dogs, hang out on the balcony and watch the sunset and sunrise is perfect. Can't say enough, you won't be disappointed for booking a few days here to escape the world.

Great spot and great vacation

The morning sunrises were amazing! The location was basically on the slope. We had the fireplace going all day long. Restaurants, tickets and rentals were all an easy walk. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a big meal for the family. Great spot and great vacation. Thanks!

Wonderful ski in ski out condo with all amenities!

My family and I had a wonderful time in this fully stocked condo! It was cozy and comfortable for the four of us. Amazing views and access to all that all Wintergreen has to offer. It was especially nice to be right on the ski slope, and a two minute walking distance to the restaurants and Mountain Inn shops. The owner, Sarah, was extremely accommodating and responsive. Thank you for a lovely family vacation!!

This condo is in the perfect location, close to everything! The furnishing are well appointed and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. The condo sleeps 6 comfortably. The owner was very quick to respond to all my questions. Will be renting again!

Perfect getaway in Wintergreen Resort!

We had a wonderful time in Wintergreen the last weekend in February. The property was perfect. The host was amazing and the home was well equipped and the views were breathtaking. The location is so convenient. We took our 3 kids to learn to ski for their 1st time and it was magical, despite the record highs and the early closure of the season, we made memories for a lifetime! We will definitely be back to renting this gem in the Blue Ridge mountains again. Highly recommend you do too!

Perfect location!

This place has a lot of potential but could use a good clean up. The place had been cleaned prior to our arrival but still looked dirty and felt dirty. The condo was redone and you can appreciate that but again, I just did not feel like it was clean.

Amazing location on the slopes!

We had a wonderful mid-week stay at the condo. You are just steps from the "Blue Ridge Express" lift at Upper Diamond Hill (beginner slope). It was awesome to be able to wave from the lift at family back in the apartment, and then they could come out on the deck to see you ski! Made it really easy for a group with both skiiers and non-skiiers. The property was very well taken care of and had everything we needed. Our family of 4 stayed in the bunk room so my dad could have the master BR to himself, and the bunks were surprisingly comfortable! We loved cover the slopes. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot

It doesn’t get better than this for location at wintergreen. Especially if you’re traveling with teens who can swing in and out for snacking and getting warm at will. Host was wonderful and very communicative. Only had a couple of issues. The light over the stove wasn’t working but I’m sure they’ll have replaced that by next visitors. One thing to be cautious of is that the stove vent is one of those microwave vents above the stovetop that was so prevalent in the 80s/early 90s. If you’re searing with the large front eye then the microwave vents don’t stick out far enough over the pan to capture all the smoke so you’ll need to move to a rear location or you’ll get smoked out. We lived this place though and would happily rent it again.

Spacious, updated, great views

We stayed here for an extended weekend at Wintergreen to attend a tennis academy and get some much needed R-and-R. The bathrooms have been updated and are in good condition. The king bed in the master BR is very nice. The deck is great--you're looking directly at the chairlift machinery, but there are beautiful mountain views beyond. You have to get up early to see the sunrise--the condo faces east. Wintergreen amenities including the main lodge, the Edge restaurant, and the market are in close walking distance. The condo shows a bit of wear and tear, including the carpet in the sunken fire pit area. We would have also appreciated a list of TV channels, as there were hundreds of channels and it was difficult to browse. Overall, recommended!

Spacious Condo for Small Group

I absolutely loved my stay here! The owner was beyond open with her communication, answering any and all questions I had both before and during our stay. There were plenty of supplies in stock which prevented us from having to bring/purchase additional supplies to use during the stay; WELL stocked kitchen:-). The master bedroom has an enormous amount of space and the bed was super comfortable. I appreciated the blend of contemporary finishes with a few craftsman touches here and there. I will admit that the drive up the mountain is very intimidating, but the condo is so comfortable and home-like you forget all about it...until you have to venture again LOL. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this space. For the affordability, level of comfort, and supply stock, this is one you definitely don't want to pass up! BOOK NOW! ;-)

Very pleasant condo and good location

Very thankful for the Davidson's having their condo available for us this weekend. The condo was a very good location for the slopes and a walk to dining and a great short hike to a beautiful look out. The closeness to the top of the slopes left it so we were right next to the lift and the lights and the snow groomers and snow-makers, which made it difficult fro a full night sleep (yawn). I would suggest maybe some dark curtains to get the bedrooms darker at bedtime (see Shawn Stephenson's book Sleep Smarter). If not, for any light sleepers, think about bringing ear plugs and eye masks. We loved how comfortable the condo was and savored the great wood burning fireplace and sitting area around it. There is a well equipped kitchen. Great comfy TV room seating. The older children found the bunk beds lacking good back support, but the master bed was very comfortable.

Great condo and location

We had liked the location and look of the condo on line a lot, and when we got there, it was better and bigger than it had looked. In fact, as soon as we arrived we already knew we needed to stay an additional night and thankfully it was open and we could. The owner’s communication was excellent. We enjoyed three great nights and found the condo’s kitchen was well stocked with all one needs to prepare and serve food. We loved eating on the deck — there were four of us, and enjoyed the interior space that allowed four adults to spread out during the day. There is the cozy lower level of the fireplace area, and then the upper level with a large sofa and chairs, as well as a kitchen counter. There was ample supplies to get us going like, soap, detergent, toilet paper, and the next day we went to the convenience store which is an easy and enjoyable half mile walk away to get supplements. Or you can go down the mountain, which is about a 15 minute drive, where a small grocery and dollar store are located. We went on lots of hikes, cycled and loved being at the top of the mountain by the slopes. Things were probably quieter than normal due to the pandemic but we loved that, and it felt good to be away from crowds and enjoy the mountain air. We would definitely enjoy staying at this condo again, and will check for its availability next time we want a get away at Wintergreen. We loved it in the summer, and think it would be even better in the winter during ski season as the location can’t be beat.

We are an active traveling family with 5 vacation properties for rent. This two bedroom slope side condo, plus a studio, one-bedroom, 3 bedroom condos and a 4 bedroom house on the golf course all in Wintergreen, Virginia, and two ocean front houses in Oak Island, NC . Vacation Year Round in one of our wonderful homes! We offer 10% discounts for customers who stay in two our homes in the same year. We are pet friendly because ours are a part of the family. We love to ski and play tennis as a family, but travel frequently for Sarah (Mom) who is a frequent triathlon competitor. The girls all learned to ski at Wintergreen and all have gone on to compete for Wintergreen! Out of these three home Wintergreen is by far the most special to us. We have spent the most time here as a family and in doing so instilled a love in being together. We believe it helped us raise our children to make better choices as they grew and spent more time away from us.

Why they chose this property

My husband Lyons grew up in Virginia and skiing at Wintergreen. This mountain instilled in him a passion for skiing, so he chose Univ. of Utah for his undergrad and a chance to ski more. It was our dream to own a Dobie condo at Wintergreen. Now our girls have all learned to ski here and compete for Wintergreen race team. I'm from NH and I'm reminded of my home when I'm at Wintergreen. We ski in Virginia and its cool in the summer, what more could we ask for. I love being at Wintergreen in the Spring, Summer and Fall as much as the Winter. It is always 10 degrees cooler and has that mountain feel to it. We play tennis daily at WTGs amazing tennis facilty with several clay courts. We also love hiking year round, but Harley our dog, loves this the most! Wintergreen is our refuge, its our family get-away. As I say to my husband, 'it brings me great joy.' Hope it brings you joy as well.

What makes this property unique

We chose Dobie for the sunken 'pit' with windows surrounding the fireplace and all day sunshine! It is so close to the mountain Inn we felt safe letting the girls go there alone. We can ski in and ski out and play on the mountain the rest of the year. We walk to the restaraunts and the children ski home when they are tired, we aren't fetching them in a car. It is so convenient and safe. Additionally, we think we have one of the best views on the mountain. In the summer we can hear the concerts from our balcony and on the 4th of July we step outside and watch the fireworks show above.
