Lovely views, very clean
We very much enjoyed our time here! The view was gorgeous, more than enough room for all of us, and the place was very clean. The hot tub was ready for use and was a nice way to relax after a day of skiing. Got to see lots of deer walking around. Great place!

Making Memories
The cabin was amazing and the view spectacular. We got 7-12 inches of fresh snow the day we got there so the skiing was outstanding. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for the memories with my kids and grandkids. 😃

Amazing cabin up in the moutains with a view of a valley full of nature.
Amazing location up in the mountains. We have stayed here 3 other times and its always great. Fire place was not working, we were looking forward to it. The hot-tub was great but needs new speakers.

About the host

Host profile image
This cabin was Built in 1999-2000 by Gary and Mike Dayon (Father and son). Mike and I (Marsha) now run the management of the cabin for Gary. We live in Port Aransas, TX now. We don't make it up there nearly as often as we would like. We try to get up there for Christmas every now and again because fall and winter are some of the most lovely times at the cabin. They built this cabin overlooking the valley (the best view in all of Ruidoso) so we could drink coffee on the deck and wine on the porch.

Why they chose this property

This cabin is very unique due to the perfect location. The cabin is up the mountain just enough to be in the middle of nowhere (hiking and trails all over with some incredible views) and it is close enough to be at the grocery store, restaurants, movies, and shopping in less than 10 minutes. This past year they repaved the road up to the cabin allowing much easier access (and safer) during the winter. The base of the mountain to Ski Apache is about 12 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

The view of the valley is breathtaking (just read the reviews) .... We put a hot tub on the back deck to provide relaxation of a lifetime. The gourmet kitchen is big enough to cook meal after meal with pots and pans and plates and appliances a plenty.
The Wildlife at the cabin is unbelieveable! The Elk and deer walk right up to you! Our kids get the biggest kick out of feeding them carrots and cheerios.
The living space is large enough for a big family to come together comfortably.
