Wonderful stay in Alto

Parking was great, hostess was extra friendly, the house was super comfortable and compatible for a large group. The rooms are a nice size, all of them. The bathrooms are a great size. We loved this stay, above every place we have stayed, I would recommend this cabin the most. I hope to book this cabin more than once.

Family Get Away

The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 9. We had plenty of beds, baths, and eating space. The furniture was comfortable and the back deck was amazing. We saw numerous wildlife, went on lots of outdoor walks, enjoyed the large and nice hot tub, and had a relaxing weekend. The owner was very kind and checked on us after a weather event that took place during our stay.

Deer Country Cabin

We had a lot of fun! The cabin is very nice and pretty! The cabin needs some TLC on small things, (ie shower heads loose, small hole in deck). The grill does not work :( We would stay again. Would consider renting it for a big family Christmas as it sleeps a lot of people! Thank you for a wonderful weekend with friends!!! We enjoyed!
Response from VrboOwner on 27 Mar 2020
Thank you for feedback, we really appreciate your candid feedback. We're sorry about the grill and we have passed the information along to the maintenance team to get it solved as fast as possible. We would love to welcome you and your family at Christmas, please keep us in mind.

Ruidoso 2023

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that would have made it better would be air conditioning. The swamp coolers provided were not enough. Our family is hot natured and the house was hot until about 9 pm.

Nice big cabin

The cabin size and scenery were fabulous. It would have been perfect if they sprayed for spiders as we found a handful indoors. We had to go buy poison to spray during our stay. Another thing they don't stock the house with enough dish soap, toilet paper or trash bags. For as big of a cabin and how many guests it holds they should supply the house with plenty of toiletries. Also clorax spray to clean counter tops in kotchen. Other than that we enjoyed the stay and the company of horses and deers.
Response from VrboOwner on 27 Mar 2020
Thank you for the review! We are sorry to hear about the handful of spiders you found in the home. The cabin is in a woodsy area so there will be spiders, but we have passed along the information that you sprayed for spiders during your stay as that is not the vacationers duty! We have also passed along your feedback on providing more toiletries for guests. We appreciate these helpful suggestions and thank you for your stay with us! -The Evolve Team

This cabin was practically perfect in every way -- the spaciousness, the location, the communication from the management company as well as the friendliness cabin owner! We had 9 adults live comfortably in our home away from home. From the spacious & comfortable seating to the open kitchen to the luxurious back deck & hot tub, we enjoyed every minute. The sunsets & night sky was unbelievable and the daily visits from wildlife was a treat! You'll love your getaway when you spend some time here!

Easter getaway

Communication with property owner was great. She helped us when we got lost at night locating the property. She is super sweet. Our main complaint is the house was dirty. Dog hair all over rugs. Dog urine stains in carpet in master bedroom. Dirty floors and carpet. The rugs in the master bathroom look dirty. The kitchen wasn’t very clean there were crumbs all over floor and the stove top was flithy. The coffee pot still had coffee grounds in it and the carafe was dirty. The laundry detergent in the laundry room cabinet was watered down- so don’t know how clean the towels/sheets are that we are all using. The cleaning company is doing a poor job in between guests. The cabin is a bit outdated and doesn’t have AC which isn’t a problem in the winter months but could be quite warm in spring or summer. At the time of our stay we were told the heater works intermittently and probably needs replacement. There were some space heaters provided. I feel this should have been communicated prior to booking. We paid a number containing 4 digits for a weekend stay and I definitely do not think it’s worth that amount of money especially during the off season. We were told we’d be refunded some money due to the condition of the cabin and that has yet to happen. The back patio/deck is nice. New grill and nice hot tub. We did enjoy sitting out there although it was not very relaxing in the evenings because the property backs up to some other cabins and they were blasting music and yelling all evening. We will not be staying at this property again.

This was such a cute cabin to stay in. The cabin is not too far from local activities, was easy to find and comfortable to stay in. We felt at home the entire time we were there. We had a couple of minor issues but the property contact was super responsive and helpful in a timely fashion
