Found that the temperature was cool in the house even when turning up the thermostats. Also had issues with the tv.

Pros: kitchen is well established with everything you need, kitchen and bathrooms are beautifully renovated. The bunk beds were a plus and the kids enjoyed them. The upstairs area was very nice and gave privacy. We enjoyed the fire pit and had fun making s’mores. If you are someone who likes speed boating or recreational motor boating this is a good vacation area. There are speedboats playing music on the lake, which creates a party vibe if you want that. Cons: the neighbors are right there, it’s a sort of a suburban environment - a house on a street more than a cottage. The beach is in someone else’s yard and we felt self conscious using it, when the whole point of the cottage for us was to be at the beach. We didn’t realize until we arrived that the instructions are ‘not to spend time at the beach or dock’ but only to ‘cross it’ to put kayaks in the water, which isn’t compatible with a family-focussed vacation. Our nine year old has never kayaked, was scared of the speedboats, and wanted to play in the sand. We were also surprised there was no potable water so our first night we had not brought bottled water with us. That added worry and expense as we had to go buy a week’s water. There was a scare the first night when we thought some had drunk the tap water, and people were thirsty the first night. That said, the kitchen has a beautiful glass dispenser that was helpful once we filled it. This was not the peaceful quiet cottage we hoped for, but we made the best of it.
