Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
If you can, please start one load of laundry. It takes a long time, so this will give us a head start.
Wash used dishes and dry in the white rack (found under the sink).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Checkout instructions: Please turn off all A/C units, bring used linens downstairs and place them in the hallway, and place key in lockbox.
Outside use: Please do not jump off deck into river. It is unsafe due to debris and speed of flow. Please supervise any children around water.

Super host. There was a problem with fiding the actual location and a heating problem but the host took care of both problems and could not be more welcoming and helpful. Great WIFI connection and beautiful pond.

Close to everything, yet in the middle of nowhere

This place was amazing. I brought my dad to see family that lives in this area, and while it was close to everyone, it also gave us a place to get away and experience a peaceful, tranquil environment, as well. While there is only one bedroom, the way the partial walls that are at the top of the stairs separate the beds, it provided enough privacy for my dad and me. Plenty of closet space to hang my cloths up, and the little deck outside my dad's side of the room was awesome, as well. This place is so tranquil that I plan on coming back in March 2025 for a place to just chill and write.

We’re a military family of 6 with a passion for helping families create lasting memories. We know how precious time with loved ones is - and how quickly little ones grow up! We found this property for personal use, but decided to open up the guesthouse for others to enjoy. When we’re not enjoying time off in Lumberton, we live in Virginia where Tommy works on base as an instructor and Sierra works from home as a product manager.

Why they chose this property

The seclusion from the outside world but close proximity to town, wineries, an ATV park, and other things to do!

What makes this property unique

It’s on 11 acres and connects to a 50-acre pond which can be explored by kayak or fished. There’s another 3-acre pond that we kayak, fish, and swim in! Dogs love to roam around the property with their owners. We also have a small cabin with bunk beds for use at guests’ request for the adventurous members of the group!
