With 3 cozy bedrooms, including 2 queen beds and 1 king bed, guests can relax in modern style. The property also features a spacious living room with 2 futons for extra sleeping space a dining room and kitchen with eat in bar. Enjoy the soothing shower amenities in the 2 plus half bathrooms and laundry. A great place to call home-base while you're away, we hope you enjoy your stay and the quite peace of a 1935 Homestead build by the Work Program as our Nation recovered from the great depression, original wooden barn, storm house, garage, work shed and outhouse, it is a gem worth seeing and enjoying, original bead board and ship lap. Enough space to bring your horse trailer, RV, or motor home-no hook ups at this time.

Overall, we had a very good stay. The house was cozy, well-maintained, and accurately reflected the listing photos. The location was ideal for our needs and made our trip very convenient.There was a minor issue regarding a toilet seat during our stay. While I’m not entirely certain the damage occurred during our visit, we were ultimately charged an incidental fee for it. Aside from that situation, we enjoyed the property and had a pleasant experience overall.

Farmhouse review

We enjoyed the farmhouse and grounds so much. It’s really away from it all. The stars are so bright. It’s filled with charm and we were visiting Dismals canyon which was very close by. Overall the house was delightful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Friends get together

Our stay at Patricia’s was amazing. Check in was easy and the house was amazing. We was greeted with some homemade cookies as well as some vegetables and eggs from her farm. The house was homey and comfortable for me and my group of friends.

Super cute! Very well stocked with kitchen appliances, coffee, and comfortable beds and just about anything else you could need. The only downside was the showers. It was either too hot or too cold. Couldn’t get the temperature to regulate. We had a great stay and we will be back!

Overall the property is nice. It is clean and well decorated and has nice amenities. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils. There are a few downsides. Trying to maintain a consistant temperature in the showers is impossible. It goes from too hot to too cold. Also, there is quite a bit of road noise and the grass could stand to be mowed more often. A fire pit would be a nice addition as well since it is out a bit.

Dear Barbara, it would have been helpful if you had contacted me during your stay about the too hot too cold, I have reached out to a plumber and it has been remedied. Thank you for letting me know. I can do nothing about the road noise. It is a rural very quite area and sound does travel. The grass could not be cut due to lots of rain which causes the grass to grow quickly, it was cut the day before your arrival, thankfully we had some dry weather that allowed us to do so. I cannot at this time install a fire pit, the home is wood clapboard siding, as are several outbuildings and a barn. It would be unsafe to put one in. Thank you for your kind words and I do take very seriously any items of concern. I will remedy what I can. Of all the vacation rentals I’ve stay this one made me feel like home from the decor. The beds were very comfortable. Anything you needed in the kitchen was there. If you want to relax at the end of the day this is the place. I’ll definitely be back. And I didn’t need anything but when I messaged the host they responded right away. Thank you for opening your home up to us.

Just spent four nights in the farmhouse, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was so cozy, the beds were unbelievably comfortable, and the host was GREAT to work with.If you need a place to stay anywhere the area….this is definitely the house you want to stay in!

1935 Homestead, built through the Works Program also know as the WPA. Home is a Bungalow style, wooden barn, storm house, work shop, garage, outdoor well dated and signed 1939, and of course we were able to save the outhouse.
