Nice place. In the middle of nowhere. Super private and peaceful. Nice kitchen and game room. Was pretty clean and spacious. My party had 7 people stay there.
Property is a bit of a drive to get to but it's a gorgeous property that feels very remote and relaxing. 40 acres of beautiful wilderness to explore right on the property and very close to many other great wilderness areas and state parks!
Lane was an awesome host, very accommodating and welcoming, even built us all a bonfire our first night.
Definitely would recommend if your looking to get away from life and truly decompress in the great Minnesota wilderness!

Relaxing as being at home. Definitely a goal to return.
Hard to put the relaxing warm cozy and relaxed freedom into words. We were wonderfully welcomed when we arrived. The warm welcome continued throughout the weekend. It was a great balance of knowing they were close by and living their life as they were free to come and go, along with the expected privacy we had to do the same. While also knowing a bonfire together and kids playing together was always welcome. The home was clean and extremely spacious and not lacking in any amenities. Yet not the 5 star hotel you have to watch your kids at every minute of the day. Just loved it. We had 3 couples, a single, and 3 kids. No one felt on top of each other the entire time. Perfect. Please make a reservation to go there---just not when I want to! LOL :) Have fun!

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway with my friends. The owners are very nice and helpful! Not to mention the scenery is beautiful along with the house itself. I highly recommend for a peaceful and fun weekend in the woods!
This property was such a dime. I am so glad to have been able to stay. The kids had a great time and the owners were very friendly. A very good family friendly place!
Before we arrived, Lane and Amy were in contact with us about the check in process. Upon our arrival we were met by Lane and was given a tour of the house. It fit our family of 6 very comfortably and was just what we were looking for. Our kids enjoyed the pool table, foosball and dart board. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking to just get away.
Absolute 5 stars! Quiet, relaxing, secluded area, beautiful scenery, very inviting. The cabin (really it's a house) is spacious and clean with all the amenities. The hosts Lane and Amy were beyond wonderful!
The pictures don’t do this place justice. Great place for a family to stay and have fun together. Property management is very friendly. Highly recommend. We will stay here again.
Great location, excellent property and friendly owners
The location easily fit our large ATV trailer and accommodations were better than the last cabin we rented in the nearby area. Full kitchen and access to the old bar/lounge were great benefits over other cabins in the area. The only downside was that there is no real master BR; the main BR has two queen beds and the other has a futon w/ a bunk so if you have two couples, there is no privacy if you both want adult-beds. The futon was good but hard for most adults to use w/o getting a backache. It still met our needs of the weekend and we would definitely visit again.
My dad and I booked this stay relatively last minute so we weren't sure what to expect, but wow did Lane and Amy Impress us. Lane met us upon arrival to make sure everything was as we expected and to make sure we let him know if we needed anything. When we arrived home from fishing that night, they were having a bonfire which they openly invited us to join and were so pleasant and friendly. That was an aspect of our trip that I wasn't expecting and was so pleasantly surprised about. The only regret that I have is that there were only the two of us staying there to enjoy their wonderful space. The area that we stayed was everything we were looking for and so much more! There were two very cozy rooms with multiple beds, a nice big bathroom, a well-stocked kitchen, and an awesome living room/bar/hang out area. We booked this space mostly for a place to sleep as we were fishing most of our time there, but found ourselves wishing we had spent more time in enjoying all the things that they had available for us to do. We felt like we left with two new friends, and a wonderful little place that we absolutely will be returning to!

Thank you for the review and for your feedback! We took your advice and have upgraded the kitchenware. Next time you come there should be everything you need. It was great having you stay with us!
This property was exactly what our family needed for our 2 nights away. There were things for all ages... Our older kids enjoyed playing pool and our little kids enjoyed the play area outside. The walking trails were fun to explore together, followed by a bonfire. The beds were very comfortable and the home was spacious and clean. It was a rustic setting with all the modern conveniences for comfort. Close to Bemidji, Walker, and Park Rapids. We would love to visit here again and make use of the atv trails in the area!

We love hunting and playing outside! I train and raise purebred labrador retrievers and enjoy every minute of it. We have a small farm on the property as well, with pigs and chickens. Spending time with family and in the outdoors is what we do best!
Why they chose this property
We decided to buy this property because of the serenity and paradise that being here brings. Because of the remote location, we feel very close to the natural world - to get away from the monotony of life and the busyness that life brings is worth it all to us!
What makes this property unique
We have had a few family reunions for our own family here, and realized that this excellent location and amount of space is perfect for people to just let go and relax! With so many lakes being close to us, we can take off for a morning fishing trip or go camping and still not feel like we need a whole weekend for it. Each day should be enjoyed and cherished, and what better way to do this other than to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature?
